I usually get my hair done at Ulta, but it's very expensive so I tried out the Hair Cuttery on a whim. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The stylist sat me down and asked what I wanted. I showed her a picture of a girl with brown hair, and striking golden highlights (think Jennifer Anniston). She said I would need a base color of brown on top to really make the highlights pop (I have a bit of leftover red in my hair). This whole process, start to finish with her took 5 HOURS. The brown on top, washing, shampooing, conditioning, drying, bleaching, waiting, washing again, shampooing again, conditioning again, she put toner in as well, and then blow drying again, cutting, etc. And after all of that......after 5 hours of this woman methodically pasting my hair with bleach to give me blonde highlights.....my hair still came out brown......The top part is noticably darker, but what she gave me looks more like an ombre effect.....but literally no one noticed I got my hair done...and I work in an office full of women. 5 hours of my life wasted. She never once offered me a water. I was starving, which I mentioned that I hadn't eaten anything that day to try to get her to move faster because 5 hours in that chair with no food, water, or a bathroom break.....I was ready to LEAVE. I understand that these things take time....but DAMN. What if I had to pick up my kids from school? I got there at 1:00pm, and didn't leave until they closed their store at 6pm.

My experience was awful. I asked her to put in layers in the back and the side's, the only thing she did was a very basic trim and thinned it out some. She was in such a hurry I'm not even sure my hair was completely wet when she washed it and conditioned it.i have very thick hair and she only used one pump of product. I was using a gift card I got for my birthday and unfortunately it was a total waste of my card. I would never let her cut my hair again. Even w waiting at the front I wasn't in the place more than 20 minutes... terribly experience.
