I love this shop. I moved to Chicago 6 years ago and I didn’t have references for stylists. I stumbled into Shine Hair braiding and 6 years later I’m still a customer. All of their stylist are professional and educated in hair care. They are dependable and have handled everything for my family from the Prom to braiding my youngest hair. Professional, friendly, caring and reliable service. They will spend time to consult with you on the style you desire and make sure you’re satisfied on every visit! My stylist is Shade’ and her attention to detail keeps my look amazing EVERYTIME!

I love the way she loves what she do and it show in her work. She missing a star because bugs kept landing on me and I waited a hour and I called before I came and she said no wait. But overall I think I found my hair braider and I am very picky I didn’t think I ever would!

DON'T GO THERE!!! Painful experience. I went to get braids and kept asking her to NOT make them tight. She obviously didn't understand english. My scalp hurts. I told her that it hurts and she said it will loosen up. Not what I ask for.

This shop has a very family friendly vibe. I wasn't a braid person before, but they have me hooked. Not only was I taken immediately, but they gave me tips on how to care for my natural hair and I got several compliments. They do every style and I love the staff!
