Family Hair Care

First of all I wish I could give negative stars my services were that horrible. The place was extremely dirty and unorganized. All the hair style books were VERY out of date as well. There was dust everywhere, cobwebs hanging from the ceilings and walls, the floors were caked with hair trimmings as well as clots of old hair that had accumulated in corners and under the stations. This is supposed to be a full service salon but there was one lady, the owner who did everything. There was a small area for nails and maybe 20 colors of polish but no acrylics, no place for a pedicure, one wash tub that was filthy, the wax bowl wash not only covered in old spilled wax but also dust. I asked for two colors of high and low lights that I had had done previously at another salon and it had turned out beautifully. The lady had very broken english so there was a lot of trouble with communication. I explained that I wanted blonde and deep red throughout but I wanted more red on the bottom and more blonde on the top. I had to not only explain what I wanted several times but also had to show her and when she began making sections she wasn't making them even using a comb so I shower her how to do that as well (I cut and color my own hair most of the time due to so many horrible experiences and also cut and color family and friends hair and have yet to have an unsatisified person and I have had no schooling for this). She did the foils and I sat under the dryer for about ten minutes. She gave me a mirror and I could already see that some of the sections weren't even dyed down to the root, there was at least an inch to an inch and a half in some places from the root. She very aggressively took out the foils and barely washed the dye out with some very old looking shampoo and conditioner. Nothing prepared me for what I saw in the mirror when I sat down in the chair. My hair was NOT blonde and deep red, it was yellow and orange. She attempted to blow dry my hair after using LOTS of product to tame the dry course hair that I didn't have when I came in. She kept telling me "I do what you want, I do what you say to do" but it wasn't at ALL what I wanted. I told her I was unsatisfied and was crying as well. She kept telling me I was wrong and she did good job, exactly what I wanted! I reluctantly paid her to keep her from calling the police, but after lots of advise from many of my family and friends who are REAL hair stylist I am going back to demand a FULL refund or I will be making a complaint to the state board and taking her to small claims court.I am truly devistated and am embarrassed to leave my house to take my children to school! If you want beautiful hair in a nice, clean, environment, from a PROFESSIONAL stylist, then I suggested DO NOT go here!!!!!
