I love Paradise! Amazing stylists! Ember is THE BEST! I also tan there and I love their bulbs. Always changing them out!

I went to Paradise the first time for their $10 Monday haircuts. I happened to pass by and see the sign. So I went in and they were able to fit me in right away. Long story short, I got the worst haircut I have ever had in my life....and many times I have cut my own hair, so for me, a generally non-picky person who gets simple haircuts, to say this place is terrible indicates just how bad it is. I got home and was very upset about the cut, didn't notice how uneven it was until it dried. I called and explained that not only was it uneven, but that the stylist (I cringe to call her that) did not follow my directions on how to cut it either. I did notice something she did while she was cutting, but she did it so quick I couldn't say anything and I thought that maybe when it dried it would be better, or at least not as bad as I thought it might be. It was bad. Even my mom, who doesn't say anything when things look bad said it looked really bad. It was a mullet---and I told the girl I wanted long layers and not to cut anything off the front. Very simple directions were not followed, and when I explained for 5 minutes what was wrong, and never raised my voice or was even mean at all even though I cried for probably 2 hours straight about this terrible cut, she refused to refund the 10 bucks so I could get it cut somewhere else. She was "kind" enough to offer to "fix" the cut and her explanation was that where the stylist was taught "that is just how they are doing it now." To me, a stylist should FIRST listen to directions and then take stylistic expertise into account, asking if she thinks something will look edgy or cool before just doing it because that is the "new" thing. The people were unreasonable, and even though I presented clearly how they were wrong and asked for a refund, they stood by their offer to fix it, which of course is crazy. Who would say, sure, I came in here for a 1.5 inch haircut and left with over 6 inches missing in the front, essentially giving me a mullet, and NOW I would like for you to cut it again. Yeah, right. Don't go here unless you are willing to spend $50 at a real salon to get a cookie-cutter-new-age-haircut style that is "what they are teaching now," even if you just want a normal haircut that is "one length and looks sleek."
