I would recommend to all: TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! First impressions are everything. If a simple phone call to inquire about services is treated as an imposition, imagine what the remainder of the experience would be like? If someone is willing part with their hard earned money to patronize your business, particularly during this economy, would it not be wise to do what you could within reason to try to help them? Apparently the answer to that question is "no" (or rather "hell NO and go somewhere else you pest!") based on the response received from the person who took my call at this salon. NO, they will not be nice to you if you have concerns or if you question anything at all. Who needs that?? I spend obscene amounts of money on my hair, especially now. Was looking or a change of location of my salons from New York to Maryland or Virginia since I now live here. But definitely will not be spending any of my money or time with this place.

My experience with Marcella Ellis Signature Salon has been absolutely great! The weave prices were a little higher than what I was used to, but it was well worth it! My weave lasted for two months, and I'm only taking it out to get my real hair cared for. I was just at a makeup counter the other day when someone complimented me on how good my hair looked. The woman could not believe it wasn't my real hair and that it was so natural looking. I would recommend Marcella Ellis Signature Salon to all of my friends!

I started going to Marcella Ellis over a year ago due to breakage. They do a great job. My hair is growing back very nicely and I receive compliments on my hair all the time.

I wanted to LOVE this salon really bad. I have been here twice and found the salon to be just ok. My last experience was not the best. I was really specific in how I wanted my weave versatility. The request seem simple enough for a stylist just graduating from cosmetology school. Unfortunately, when I put my hair into a high ponytail, there was a huge bump in the back of my head. The braids were too bulky in the back and did not lay down. Marcella was great at understanding the issue and invited me back to the salon to re-do my hair. The second time around they mastered the weaving. They were not very good at blending natural hair with natural weave, but I knew when I got home I could fix it. After my hair was complete, I did get a slight attitude from my stylist to see if I was finally "satisfied". I didn't understand why she would come off like I bothered her by coming back in. My time is precious as well, and I do not think I should pay any amount of money for something not to be correct. To end my last moments in the salon, I was presented with a charge for shampooing and conditioning my hair. I could not believe they would charge me for coming back in because of their wrong doing. Marcella Ellis Salon received their money from me but will no longer receive further business or recommendations. In better news, the hairstyle maintained for 2 months. It could have last longer, but my hair needed a breather.

Shandy, I visited Marcella Ellis's studio in VA with a friend a few times and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I loved how they treated her hair. It came out beautiful each and every time. I have an appointment at the Lanham, MD location today and i know that i will be well taken care of. I just cant wait to see the outcome.
