Went to Palmyra after leaving my other hairdresser I had for 35 yrs. Showed her pics explained the other one cut my long thick hair to my shoulder after telling her to keep the length. I used to go my other hairdresser every 2 mos. but after my Kidney Transplant I could not come out and only got my haircut every 8 mos. I came to Palmyra and she did the first cut okay after 2 yrs of growing my hair back. I came 6 mos. later and she knew how I wanted my hair. I came last week. I was the first appt. Before opening she was arguing with a staff member. I came in was rushed for the wash. I sat down talked to her in the eye as I normally do with the mistake of trust. I had told her when I got there to keep the length. I look back at the mirror she chopped my hair off beneath my shoulders!! She then said I had knots. Stunned I asked her about it She sneered arrogantly I should stay in shower with conditioning full back next time. I said to her she was the one who told me about the short layers on top long on bottom terminology the last time I saw her. She dismissively she laughed saying I can't remember then she said now you have to come back monthly. (The first cut she kept long passed my shoulders the second the same.) In my opinion, she knew darn well and with her attitude this was intentional. She did whatever she wanted. When I said when I saw it to keep the length. She pointed to my wet hair down my back which was false as it was wet and said she’ll try as if I put her out. I was in shock and cooperative as clearly it was already cut but when I got home...I have flipped ever since. I have 2 years left to live with this transplant that took 3 1/2 yrs to get here. She knew about my transplant too. I had beautiful thick long hair it's the worst cut I ever had. It’s above my shoulders short! I had 3 cuts with her since my bday last yr and she knew why I came to her to after leaving my other hairdresser for 3 decades as I went over with her with all my pictures and was cautious. My business with my longevity of loyalty and trust was of no interest. I called when I got home she would not take my call. So right there - enough said. I felt it. I know exactly. I left her a message later saying I don't want a call back. I don’t know what went on with the arguing before I came in (indicating she took it out on me) or if there was something I said talking about my life she didn’t like, whatever her issue just let people who want their hair long to have it. I even said they were nice people (the woman she was arguing with always is) but I am not coming back. She just took another year off my time with my transplant. Since I came back to life these 2 beauticians ruined and took what time I have left. No. I do not recommend.

It was a week before my wedding, and I realized I had not made my hair appointment yet. I had been eying Palmyra's Salon for quite sometime as a possible new salon. I lucked out when I called them! They were able to squeeze me in for the afternoon of my wedding day (I was married on a Friday), and my updo last all day and looked fantastic! The price for the updo was not bad either. In fact I was asking about their normal salon services and the cost won't put you out an arm and leg like some of the other salons in the area!

I have been going to Palmra's for a few years now. It is a really great salon. Palmyra listens to how you want your hair done. Prices are not bad at all. Bonus is that the salon is a really comfortable place to go to!

This is a great day spa in Ocean Township NJ to relax and get a facial. Palmyra is the best. I will be going again.
