First, I want to say I hate writing negative reviews. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and figure most people are doing their best. But I had an appointment at Blowout last weekend, and it was my first and last time in. I was running about 2 minutes late due to a wrong turn, so I tried to call out of courtesy. Nobody answered the phone. No problem. I got there pretty quickly and was greeted by another person who said the gal helping me was running behind and would be with me in about 10 minutes. Again, no problem. So, I took a seat and waited while she finished up with her client. And I waited. And waited. She herself never acknowledged me. I'm not an impatient person, but I was getting increasingly irritated as I sat there for OVER AN HOUR. There was no hello, no apology, no letting me know they're wrapping up. Nothing. In the meantime, I'd had to call and reschedule another appointment I'd made that afternoon. When they finally finished up, still nothing. I had to walk up to the register and approach her after she rang up the previous client. I said I'd had an appointment set an hour ago. Again, no apology. She sounded like she was aware of my appointment, but said the last person just ran really long, and would I rather reschedule? Otherwise, she would still take me. It almost sounded like she was doing me a favor by not making me reschedule, even after I'd waited that long. Honestly, if I didn't have a certificate to use, I would've walked out long before, but it was the only time I could work this into my schedule. So, I stayed and got my lashes done. She did a good job on those, but I can't justify going back someplace where my time and business are so undervalued. I felt very disrespected. As a side note, they have apparently moved to a service charge model rather than tipping, so I wonder if this has impacted the level of service. If you're guaranteed 18% already, why bother?

Great job of blowing out my hair. I have very curly hair. They straightened my hair without excess heat or product. The environment is pleasant and the process was very efficient. Fair price and the fees were not hidden, service fee was explained on the website and when you book read the terms and conditions ladies...it explains that 18% is charged at checkout. It goes to the stylist so it is like a tip, no calculating necessary!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet! I don't know what the other reviewers are thinking but I notice that they don't like the service fee which is just a tip, I have confirmed that goes to the styles. I come here every week because I'm a web host for an on-camera series and I CANNOT do anything with my hair on my own. Every week I am reborn via shampoo and blowout. The work they do makes me walk out of there feeling confident. Peter, Angel and Amanda are my favorite stylists so far, but really, they're all very talented. I usually futz around on my phone during the blowout, but the stylists are fun to talk to. Other good things: Wine. Tea and did I mention the place smells amazing, all the time? Thank you, Blowout, for being a service I can count on. See you next week.

This experience was truly wonderful and perfect for "me" time. I walked out exuding confidence, a sense of relaxation, and gorgeous hair! You can't put a price on these things BUT $47.20 (inlcudes the service fee) is reasonable.

previous It is nice to have someone else wash your hair while you sip wine then spend 40 minutes having someone else blow dry and style it to your desire. Never thought I would enjoy the experience as much as a I do. I try to go once a month to decompress. It is like $35 therapy...I have a membership so I don't pay menu price!!
