I went in to get my hair done and asked for kinky twists. The only thing I asked was that it not be tight. The woman who was originally working on my hair was doing a good job but the woman who owns the shop started to help out and it was too tight. I let her know that it was too tight and she continue to braid my hair tightly. I told her again that it was too tight and she continued to do it too tight! Now it's 4:35 in the morning and I'm laying in bed and can't sleep because my head is hurting. She also got into an argument with another customer for the same exact thing. I find her to be rude and disrespectful of her clients and her client's needs. I will never go back and I suggest that anyone who goes there tell her that you will not pay if she does not respect your wishes! If this app allowed I would have given this establishment 0 Stars. This place is also extremely raggedy! I don't think they have a decent chair in the place, there is no soap in the bathroom and I have to bring my own combs because I see them going from head to head without cleaning the Combs!

You have to prepare yourself for going to this shop. It's normally loud (kids running around and their parents trying to do your hair and watch their children), crowded (people bumping you, several people in a small space, and kids pulling on your clothes) and unprofessional (braiders stopping for multiple reasons). Most of the time they do not start on time so please be aware. They are always apologetic but the same behaviours countinues. Honestly, if I could find better braiders I would stop going (Senegalese twist is normally what I get and I only go 1x a year for my whole head and a touch up a couple months later. I know I would go more if the environment was better. I used to go 4xs a year, but I can't sit through the chaos). I have tried other shops and my braids are not uniform. Trust me, when I find better braiders, I will move on from this shop( It is not worth the headache and chaos). The braids I rate as a 5 but everything else I would rate as a 2 or less. The regulars know the headache but also know the finish product will be top notch (note, they do braid tight and some people's hair may not be able to handle the tension. Please be aware that each person should know how much tension is appropriate for their hair type. My hair is close to bra strap length and I never had a problem). I gave them a 2 because although your hair comes out nice, the experience needs to be improved. I have been to other shops for non braiding styles and they are able to encompass customer service, great environment , and excellent styles. Jolies can do the same but chooses not to (The shop is so bad that I never recommend the shop to others without several disclaimers).

My experience here was not outstanding.. My appointment was at 8am when I arrived no one was there me and another lady was waiting the lady left I should have as well.. I sat in my car then went back around 9:30 when I seen two workers arriving. I was told one price on the phone another once inside( Once you tell them what they told you about a price they'll mix it up and say they never said that now everyone in the shop will agree on what they said)i wanted my hair done so i said whatever once she started doing my hair a guy came in to stock up with hair when it was time to give the guy money she asked me to pay right on the spot to give the guy money which I thought was weird because now he's looking at me to give him what I was paying them..(That's something that should be done before clients arrive) Later another woman arrived to help with my hair who brought two children in the shop that was running around and kept grabbing my clothes..Then the woman left to get their children from school now I'm waiting for them to come back.. My hair was super tight but because I've been waiting I didn't tell them to take it out I was just ready to leave.. Once I got home my scalp was red and swollen I couldn't even hold my head up the hair was so heavy (Faux locs) they will not tell you any about a style they just want your money.. You'll find out about it yourself..I couldn't even sleep the whole night I was up in pain.. I had friends and family help take my hair out.. (Bad Experience) So unprofessional
