I really liked the HydraFacial that Rachel did. It’s unfortunate that I will never return.
The night prior to my appointment, I called to confirm a matter of payment. At checkout, I was told a different story. Miscommunication happens, but it’s how poorly I was treated at Lords and Ladies of Gilbertsville that really turned me off.
The manager/owner, Karen (a suiting name with a hairstyle to match), was quick to ACCUSE that it was my word against theirs. She DEMANDED to know the number I called and who I spoke to. When given the precise time I called, she waved it off that it could have been anyone. There were a couple of excuses about the phone that didn’t quite add up either. When asked to honor what her staff communicated to me, although incorrectly, I was told that she was going to call the COPS on me.
So much for a relaxing day at the spa!
There was ZERO trying to accommodate the customer here. In fact, I left in tears and feeling like I had been taken advantage of. What a shame. I would have loved to return and probably would have spent a bunch on future visits. Hell, I probably would have tipped the technician (who did AWESOME work) extra because of the inconvenience it caused the salon. Tales of GREAT customer service would be spilling from my lips…but that is not the case.
Lords and Ladies of Gilbertsville didn’t seem to care that they supplied incorrect information, expected me to just accept and pay for their mistake, accused me of lying, and made me feel like THEIR error was actually MY fault. Did I mention it was my birthday? The folks in charge over there are legit terrible people. But what else would you expect from a Karen?
When folks ask for spa & salon recommendations, I will be very quick to tell them where NOT to go, Lords & Ladies Gilbertsville.
