Awesome salon

Aug 29, 2016
Oftentimes, I paid for unsatisfactory services, however, none had ever prompted my desire to waste time documenting my horrid experiences as with this hair salon. When I called to schedule an appointment, of course the receptionist inquired what type of hair svc. I wanted, which I replied "to conceal some of the grays I have, nothing fancy, just one color." I recalled expressing at least twice to my hair specialist, Victoria, my annoyance with gray hair & that it's one of the main reasons I colored my hair. The coloring application was done over the sink. For all I know, it felt like she covered my entire head. At check out, I was a little stunned the cost for just a simple hair coloring & cut. As I reviewed the details on the receipt & determined the appropriate tip amount, despite the facts that Victoria never mentioned the additional cost for the "glaze," whomever she asked to yank my long hair causing great discomfort during washing & conditioning, no slight therapeutic head massage while washing or styled my hair other than blew dry it flat, I still gave slightly above 20% tip. As I sat in traffic on the way home, I decided to comb through my hair & check out the new color. The one specific target area & the whole reason for the hair salon trip wasn't even touched at all. Mind you, I had a wedding to attend the next day. I said to myself, "There's no way I am spending this ludicrous amount to be unhappy!" I called the salon right away & surprisingly someone picked up the phone given it was the end of the day. Got to my appt the next day, Victoria said to me there was a "miscommunication" on my part & that the owner of the salon was willing to correct the problem with a 20% discount. I asked how much more, $65. Now I'm not a confrontational person. I agreed as I felt I didn't have much option, the wedding is in the evening. As I waited in the chair for her to mix the color, I found myself getting agitated & more angry by the seconds. Thought to myself, there's something seriously wrong with this picture! When this is all set & done, I'm going to invest $200 in basic hair coloring plus my stress level! I stripped off the cape & left. I called the salon to extend the courtesy of letting them know how screwed up & unprofessional they were. Hopefully, they won't repeat the same errors on other clients. The gal who answered the phone claimed the owner cared & wanted to phone & discuss the situation when she has the opportunity. I still have yet to receive that call. I uncovered the receipt while cleaning out my purse. It infuriated me even more to see that I did in fact paid for some type of "roots" svc. So if any of hair experts reading this review, what is your definition of "root touch ups?"
