Tall woman didn't listen to me! I only needed for my hair to flat ironed. There are many salons in St. Louis that offer this service. They charge between 25 to 35 for flat iron service on pre-washed hair (unfortunately, not this location). I called previously before my visit and explained that I already washed and conditioned my hair. On the phone she said okay! I didn't catch her name (wish I had). I got there and it was a lot of stylists there, so I had no clue who I talked to. This tall woman asked me what did I need. I told her I called and was told to come in the next hour. She told me to wait and she needed 15 more mins. She then comes back to me and says "I still have to shampoo your hair to do what I need to do". I was shocked! Why didn't she tell me this on the phone? I WOULD'VE NEVER COME! So, I let her shampoo and she don't even know how to shampoo natural hair! She was combing through my wet hair roughly. I told her that I don't come my hair wet, because that causes breakage! She got an attitude and told me "I'm a hair stylist, I know what I'm doing". Clearly, she DOESN'T! I don't know how much of my hair came out, but it felt like I had more hair on my head coming in then leaving out. If you're a natural sistah, don't go here! All they know is weaves and relaxers! Then she had the nerve to charge me $55. I'm definitely going to do my own hair next time. Word of advice: LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS, especially if it's your first time working with them. 😒
