This is the only place I have gotten a haircut that I liked immediately (without having to wait a week or two for it to grow in). Staff is friendly and passionate about their work. Your stylist will speak with you before doing anything to better understand what you need or want for your hair. You also get a spot/wash before and after your cut. The owner Sergio is a talented and experienced stylist. Plus, his dog Lucy is adorable and always looking for a scratch or belly rub. Since discovering this place, I have moved to a completely different part of the city but still make the trip regularly because it is worth it.

I've been going to Salon Masaya regularly and getting cuts from Maria. The salon itself is clean and comfortable.I felt welcomed with a very friendly, helpful and professional consultation . Maria is creatively inclined and offers great insight, while making sure she listens to and delivers exactly what it is that you are coming in for. The prices are very reasonable and the results and experience are always on point. I haven't had luck previously finding a talented and consistently good stylist and have wound up spending way too much money on cuts I am not satisfied with, or getting okay haircuts with unwelcoming and rushed service. Maria at Salon Masaya always delivers a professional and positive experience and I always leave happy with her work.

I’ve been getting my hair cut for awhile now at Salon Masaya and I must say I’m always incredibly satisfied. Jonathan is great at his job, he’s an excellent communicator who always executes exactly what I’m looking for in a haircut when I come into the shop. I’ve tried out tons of places in Philadelphia and surrounding county’s and this place is at the top of my list.

One of my favorite stylists ever, Sergio is a great stylist. His cuts are spot-on and I can’t wait for him to color my hair (one of these days). He takes his time, caring for each and every one of his clients. He truly loves his craft. Thank you, Sergio for creating Salon Masaya!
