Wanted to love this place as I was looking for a weekly blowout spot, but I was charged $50 without warning for a blowout even thou I walked in for there $35 blowout new client special. A professional salon would have told you the price upfront instead of just charging you quietly without notice. I asked the fromt desk girl why she had charged me $50 instead of $35 and her response was "because we didnt know your hair was that long". Nexttttt! Would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I asked Alex for a trim and next thing I see is 2 inches of hair being cut off. He blow dries my hair into an uneven mess. I went home and had to redo it - though it is so short now, I am struggling to make it look decent. The only reason I gave one star is because the woman who shampooed person was very good.

I've been going to Jeffrey Stein @ 72nd St. for many years now. Mostly, I've seen Armando, but have used other stylists when he's out of town. Bottom line: I always get a great cut and styling. Plus: Nice people. Make you feel and look good, without any of highfalutin attitude. Maybe because I'm a repeat customer, but they always trim my bangs for free whenever I need it, accommodate my schedule, etc.

Got my hair cut blown out and styled! So professional and everyone was so nice!

I've just had the worst haircut in my life at Jeffrey Stein today.... i don't know where to begin. That guy cut my hair without wetting it! (Point 1, it is bad for the hair to cut while dry as the "pores" are still open, Point 2, he hasn't got the skill to cut my hair wet) Basically he cut my hair across horizontally and took TOO MUCH length off. On a scale from 1(poor) to 10 (great), my hair was on a 4 before and became minus 1 after the hair cut. I am still too traumatised to describe what actually happened. This place is not yet out of business because unfortunately idiots like me went there by mistake! Tell me if there is another place I can advertise my complaints!
