Masako is absolutely brilliant with my long, curly hair. She's modified the cut over the years in small ways each time, just intuiting what will look best on me now, as if she's inventing the ideal length and shape for me at every visit. Highly recommended.

This is the best hair salon I have been in NYC. I started to be a guest since 2016. My hair stylist is Kuri. She did a amazing job to my hair. More so, she is very to customers.

My choice for a better haircut in NYC

Went for my scheduled appointment today and was told that I called and cancelled and now someone else had my appointment. What a shame. I was really looking forward to trying this place out. Receptionist was very rude about it and either they double book or someone called pretending to be me to cancel my appointment so they could take it. Tend to think they double booked or the receptionist made a mistake judging by the attitude. Have never in my life had this happen. Wasn't even friendly about trying to re-accommodate. I would have stayed with the same guy I had for the past 5 years if he hadn't returned to Japan but was looking forward to trying Cowlicks. Really wish I shared my phone records with them to prove my innocence. But at the end of the day it is their mistake and they probably double booked. Recommend you pass and not waste your time here if this is how they treat potential costumers. Seriously trying to blame me for calling and cancelling. I have the phone records! You screwed up and refused to admit a simple mistake. I would have let it go but the woman behind the counter was too stubborn to admit they screwed up. Really...rude and terrible. You know, the more I think about the more I realize they probably just did it to get a regular in and the hell with a new customer. The woman was so obnoxious behind the counter - I mean seriously, why would I take a subway and walk 12 blocks in 90% humidity and 85 degree heat to go someplace where they are going to blame me for changing my appointment? Front desk woman was clearly the one who made the mistake otherwise she wouldn't have defended it so much. I hope the Japanese hairstylist can find a new place to work because if this is how they treat potential customers this place will fail. If you are new costumer you should avoid this place at all costs. Go to Sei Tomoko or Tokuyama Lotus. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Stylist was great. The rate is about system. I felt not fair about their pricing. I thought my hair length was "medium" but treated as "long"
