I visited Bee Flawless salon hoping that the service would be as advertised and boy was I disappointed. I did extensive research before going in for my appointment and emailed Mercedes with questions as well. Prior to and during the appointment Mercedes was very polite and professional, however all that changed when I expressed dissatisfaction with the results of her work. I had emailed Mercedes a photo of the look I wanted and she indicated in her emails that it could be achieved with a full sew In with silk closure.
Unfortunately when she showed me my hair it was coned and the bangs were off. The part being too far back in my head to look normal. I was very polite and asked if she could fix it. She made some adjustments which I initially thought would suffice and I left feeling somewhat satisfied. However, when I got home and was able to inspect my hair more closely, I could see that something definitely went wrong with the installation.
My head was still somewhat coned, it was lumpy, and the tracks were showing in the back. Now, I spent a total of $485.00 in Miss Mercedes’ establishment. $455.00 for the service and a $30 tip. That’s a lot of money to not be absolutely satisfied. My head was hurting so bad on the first day that I just went to bed upset because I had spent so much money to end up looking like I was sporting a bad wig. I had a headache all throughout the second day and wanted to wait until I felt better before contacting her to see if I could come in and have my hair fixed. By the third day, I still had a headache because the weave was way too tight and now I had strings popping out all over my head.
I emailed Mercedes and let her know what my concerns were. Again, I was very polite. Instead of being professional about it, Mercedes said she was “insulted by my language†when all I did was tell her honestly the issues I was having with my weave. Instead of being professional and saying, this person has been polite, tipped me well, and spent a lot of money at my place of business I should at least try to make this right for her, she tried to make excuses and take it personally.
She said she told me AFTER she finished that I should have left hair out and cut my own bangs but this was something she NEVER mentioned BEFORE the service, when I sent her a photo of what I wanted, or at any point during our email exchanges.
Her response was this:
“I'm not sure what you expect to be done to fix what you are not pleased with....but I'm all ears.â€
Now, how is this kind of response even justified? When I have been nothing but polite to you and tipped you well? Apparently, Mercedes is perfect and never makes mistakes because if you go here and you’re not happy with something instead of taking responsibility for her work and doing what she can to make the customer happy, she will blame the customer and blow them off.
I responded to the email she sent me and when I didn’t hear back today (after three days) I emailed saying that her behavior was unprofessional. She responded of course with an attitude and when I checked I realized that I hadn’t send the email as I thought. I made a mistake. Go figure, human beings aren’t perfect after all. I apologized for my frustration, again remaining polite, and sent the email asking for a refund on the install since it wasn’t done properly.
Her response was this:
“I will have a case number and my lawyers direct contact information for you tomorrow during their regular business hours so that you can seek your refund in which ever way you choose.â€
Wow, just wow. So let me get this, you expect people to pay nearly $500 for a service and if they aren’t 100% satisfied, you get pissed off, tell them to come up with a solution, and then direct them to your lawyer when they ask for a refund on the part of the service that you clearly messed up? Ok. Buyer beware ladies.
If want to roll the dice with Bee Flawless, you just better be sure you’re happy with the results. If not, you can expect a nightmare customer service experience.
