I liked the end result of my hair but it was not the best experience. The person I booked with forgot about the appt so someone else had to take me. Kids running in and out of the shop, stylist burnt my neck with the flat iron and didn't even comb my hair out before blow drying it with the comb attachment and started at the roots of my hair, definitely didn't feel good. Never again

I visited the shop today with my daughter-in-law. Our stylist was Ms. Kim and she was amazing. She colored and silk pressed both of our hair with precision. However, during visit the “receptionist” Ms. Jackie entered the shop and total chaos ensued. She was rude, antagonistic, belittling and simply disrespectful. There was only three people in the shop me, my daughter-in-law and the stylist- Ms Kim yet Ms. Jackie goes on a tirade about people filling in the name of the stylist working on them. Well, it was apparent who was working on us. She then proceeds to dump out products that’s being used on us (clients) without asking Ms. Kim if she needed it. Remember, we were getting color in our hair, nothing to be played with. All while doing this she started sweeping, pushing dirt/debris across the floor close to where we were seated. Ms. Kim told her that she would take care of it when she was done with her clients, Ms. Jackie picked up the sign-in book as put in closely in her face. Ms. Jackie continued to be VERY argumentative even though Ms. Kim asked her to stop on several occasions. I give 5 STARS to Ms. Kim and -5 to the owner of YAE for employing and tolerating Ms. Jackie, who is very unprofessional.

I cannot even review their work…because I was sent back home! Im frantically looking for a hair place since I’m going away on a trip tomorrow..I booked with this salon..was super excited that they were able to see me since I’m going away on vacation. When I get there the door is locked and the hair dresser is in a heated argument with an irrate customer who was refusing to pay. she then told me I had to go. she couldn’t do my hair since she now had to call the cops. I’m so bummed because I’m not from the area and I do not know anyone else who might be opened on a Sunday. A girl did give a another number to call but they didn’t pick up..Guess Ill just have to travel like this then :(

Had my first appointment with Tameka today. I arrived 10 mins early and she was just finishing up with her previous client. She greeted me with a smile and welcomed me and informed me she was just finishing up. I was in the wash bowl right at my appointment time. I came in for a silk press and I left with my new hair stylist! I have been in search for a new stylist since moving to the area. I have been on a journey of natural hair for 6 years now. I was getting ready to give up hope and go back to a relaxer because not many can handle my natural state. Tameka not only gave me no complaints about getting through my natural hair but she also encouraged me to keep up with my journey. She let me know she is here to help me along and it made me feel confident to keep going. My hair feels and looks silky smooth. She asked how I like my hair and got it exactly how I wanted it. Slight bump and feathered on one side. I’m so happy!!!! Thank you! My search is over!

I really love the way Ti does my hair. My hair has grown so much since she started doing it. The longest it has ever been now.
