I love this place. They were so paitent and understanding with my daughter, after so many years of struggling with her hair she is now happy and her hair is gorgeous. I'm so excited to get my hair done next. Martha is amazing. I had my hair crocheted and it's gorgeous.

Martha is amazing! The last salon i was going to took 9 hours with 6 girls to do my braids! Martha was so fast and it was painless! The girl working the front desk was so sweet and helped me pick out my hair right when i got there. She showed me different products to use and was very friendly! After i got my braids done she took the time to show me different ways i can pull it up for work. All employees i came in contact with were outstanding and went above and beyond my expectations. I would absolutely recommend to anyone Martha for box braids after my experience.

I ordered hand tied remi hair on February 13th for my hair appointment on February 28th. Baraka told me it takes 4 or 5 days to come in. I called 4 times before my appointment and no hair. Mary told me it was lost but that Judy (the owner) would have it overnighted however it still didn't arrive. I made my appointment 6 weeks in advance and my stylist planned 3 hours out of her day. I have never canceled a hair appointment and I felt terrible canceling. My stylist said to cancel the order with Baraka and that she would order it online. We had it the next day. I told Baraka to cancel my order and that I wanted a refund and they told me they would have to check with the manufacturer. I paid for the hair on February 13th and today is March 5th. I've asked for the owner to call me and she has not called me once. The last commication I had was a text from the receptionist saying they are checking with the manufacturer. They still have not refunded the $411 I paid for the hair I never received. Buyers and stylists beware.

Was jipped into spending $150 for a synthetic wig that costs no more than $50. They lost my business completely.
