I am truly heartbroken. I visited Dolce Vita in December after a diasastarous coloring experience at Elements, another salon nearby. I went in for a simple cut with Julia and was very pleased with the results. I was eager to book with her again, this time for both color and cut. I have been hesitant to let anybody do anything with color on my hair after the stylist at Elements ruined it, but I felt I could trust Julia to listen to me and deliver the color and cut I wanted. This past week I got a letter from Dolce Vita introducing me to the newest member of their team - Elena - the girl who BUTCHERED my hair at Elements. It looks like it's time for me to find another salon yet again, because there is absolutely no way I will ever go anywhere near where Elena is working. It breaks my heart that Dolce Vita's standards are so low as to allow such a horrible stylist to work for them. To reiterate what happened with Elena when she was still at Elements, I had previously gone to her for a cut, which was fine. I went back last May and asked for an ombre balayage that enabled me to grow out my natural color. My natural roots had grown out about three inches and I implored her NOT TO TOUCH them. The pictures can speak for themselves. She took the color straight up to my roots, leaving me with less than a half-inch of natural color. The contrast of the brassy bleach job against my natural color looked ridiculous, and the intensity of her "color correction" made my hair start to break and fall out. She absolutely ruined my hair, and for the very first time in my life I left a salon in tears. The manager called me back to have a different, much more experienced stylist, attempt to fix the damage Elena had done by putting a non-permanent color over, but I am still dealing with the fallout almost one year later as the non-permanent color faded and I am left with the brassy, almost neon yellow Elena gave me. Elena is without doubt the absolute worst stylist I have ever encountered in my life, and she should not be allowed to go anywhere near hair. She did not listen to what I asked, and she never once apologized for the emotional distress her immaturity and inexperience caused me. The fact that she's moved from Elements to Dolce Vita truly breaks my heart, because I honestly thought I'd finally found a good salon where I could trust the stylists. I hope she's worth the lost business.

I just walk by your location at Mclean and I was so surprise the lack of the information and very rude Receptionist, i have been in too many spa and beauty salon around in USA and the world. The first impression for this place was terrible the receptionist doesn't any experience at all, to welcome the customer and offer the services with nice attitude, and no refer your customer to the website when they already front of you. Doesn't make any sense. Me: what services that you guys offer? Answer: You can go to our website and check. Me: I'm already here, so do you have a flyer about your services? Answer: Sorry, We don't have any right now Receptionist: What do you want get done? Me: Hair cut and nails, what option you guys have? Receptionist: the prices comes from $75 USD up to $xxx Me: What is the different, what the services about? Receptionist: About they experience of the stylist Me: okay, what they can do for me?. Receptionist: They have experience doing it.
