I will never ever go to this place ever again! They were rude, over priced and dishonest. I called in for foil just touch up my appointment supposed to be 9:15. When I got to my appointment at 9:00. She asked if I had appointment. Yes, I do at 9:15. She didn't see me until 10:30 she was yapping her mouth off, and don't forget, "she said she can get me out before noon." I had important day with my family. I suppose to have a foil, she said "oh I got you down for hair cut! I said No" I called you ,and you Melanie or Melody the manager made the appointment. I should've walk out, but she talk to me to stay she'll get my hair done and one time. I asked for 2 colors RED AND BLONDE. When she was done I had 6 different colors .I got brown color, blonde, gray, black, reddish and red and don't forget she done with me about 3 and I was there 9:00am. Not knowing she did the whole foil, but it was supposed to be just root touch of the color blonde and red. When she style my hair, she rush not finish tell me she's done and $115 bucks for her to mess up my hair, but what I really want to say to her is to thanks for Bucking up my hair! She didn't apologize, but she said she can fix..so I thought OK I'll give you a chance, but got worse! I am angry am furious I could look at myself in the mirror. I cried! I want sue her!!! And I'm thinking of it!!! NO STARS DON'T GO THERE!

I have had medium length hair, layered, for many years, I wanted to get my hair done really short but stylish. I did so much research on salons in and around federal way but did not feel comfortable about my cut. I walked into wal-mart one day to buy some groceries and noticed they have a hair salon!!! I just dropped in to ask and started talking to a stylist, I started telling her what I want and another stylist over-heard me and started talking. Her name is HARMONY and she made me so comfortable, she understood what I wanted, she instantly understood my hair texture and was ready to give me the cut that I showed her in a picture. I got my appointment, went there really excited and guess what, my stylist was even more enthusiastic, I could see that she loves what she does. She was very friendly and very receptive to my needs. I love my new short hair cut and will go back to Harmony every time I need a cut......and the best part is the cost....wow!

For over 15 years I've been a customer of various located Smart Style salons & I've always had relatively decent service. On 11-14-2012 I had a color and cut done by Lisa in Federal Way, Wa. This stylist couldn't have been more unpleasant. She openly sneered at me when I told her what color I wanted. She had rude things to say about the cut I wanted, until I told her...that was the cut I wanted. And after an hour of sitting in her chair, listening to her curse & complain about customers to me, just feet away from those customers....I walked away paying over 60 dollars for a foil job that isn't up to par (want me to send a pic too?) I have one large blonde chunky streak on the left side of my head and a sour taste in my mouth for a stylist who shouldn't be working at Smart Style in the first place.
