I hate to write bad reviews, but I don't want anyone else you have a bad experience. I went for a shampoo, cut/trim and a deep conditioning. I wanted a deep conditioning for 2 reasons. 1) my hair needed it, but 2) I wanted to make sure I got the pleasure of extra lather/scalp massage time, which in my opinion, is half of the enjoyment of spending lots of money at the salon getting your hair done. When people pay for a shampoo and deep conditioning, something they can do for themselves at home, they expect a service that they cannot perform themselves... i.e. a good scrubbing! Get in there! Work it into the scalp! Rub the temples and neckline a little! Make it relaxing and pleasurable for the client! Take pride in doing a good job! Well, Heather's fingertips didn't even come close to touching my scalp. Not once. It was terrible! It's like she wasn't even trying. And the deep conditioner? Did nothing. My hair looked and felt exactly the same, just as frizzy. I would at LEAST expect to see improvement. Waste of money. I wish I could say she made up for it with a great haircut, but I would be lying. I have medium/long hair that is thick with some natural wave, so sectioning my hair and cutting it in sections is absolutely necessary. Actually, I didn't know that NOT cutting hair in sections was a thing, but that's exactly what Heather did. No clips, no sectioning, no taking time to make sure things are even, and guess what... it's not even! My hair is a hot mess. She put some "long layers" in but what I ended up with was chunks of hair that have a few really long stands and some really short strands with no cohesion. So using a curling iron is impossible because none of it is even! It was sloppy and messy, and there's no way to sugar coat it. Her technique was sloppy and it shows. I wish I was coordinated enough to take a one-handed selfie to show the stringy stands sticking out everywhere, but I'm not. I pointed out that my hair looked lobbed sided in back and she "didn't see it". She told me to go home and play with it and if I wanted her to fix it she would. I felt like crying. I knew one thing for sure, I was not coming back. But because I felt bad because I couldn't hide the disappointment on my face, I still gave her a 20% tip and bought the products she tried selling me. I went home in tears and $67 lighter in the pocketbook. I got ripped off. Now I have to go to a real salon and spend more money to get it fixed. Don't let this happen to you. Sorry, Heather.
