NW Paving• plenty of respectable gentleman to work with, during my time with them I learned a lot, & enjoyed the work we did. These men care about the work that they do, & they are great at doing so, coming from first hand experience. Although my experience with the company & work was good, I was let go due to having no choice but having to take a mental health day when my bipolar spiked one night disallowing me to sleep that night. I messaged my boss at 4am notifying him. In which he took note of, a day later I returned to work & noticed after the 10 hr shift that my mustang brakes were grinding every so often(Hard to tell in the storm occurring that night). All mechanic shops were closed so I pushed that thought aside to make it through the week as I wouldn’t want to let my crew down the next day. The morning after, I got up earlier than most since I have more than an hr of driving to do. I got my 1 year old daughter ready to drive her to the babysitter, the opposite side of the city as work & after pulling out of the driveway my breaks start grinding loud metal on metal. I had no choice but to take time off to get my parts called in & to fix them myself(2 days) having no other form of transportation I would not drive my daughter under such circumstances in the car. living in Fort Sask they let me go. The worst part is that this was during the 2 week time that I was supposed to be in BC for 2 weeks for my birthday, agreed to prior by Illya. I am left with the impression of having been done dirty by the company’s higher ups. Don’t expect a caring company, in regards to your mental health & I only took one personal day off my whole time here. Your past agreements don’t matter either. Thus why the rating is as such. Not a family company, like most. Positives:Good pay, long hours, respectable work.

Watch out for them driving on the roads, worst drivers I've ever seen.

Decent company to work for

Closed my street (Fraser Way NW) without notice .. doesn’t return phone calls.. parked their equipment in an area that obstructs the view of on coming traffic. Wish the City of Edmonton would find another company to contract work out too.

They've been repairing a slab of sidewalk and a road vault out front of my house for over a month and a half now. They have left open hole with nothing other than a few cones to warn people no tape or signs. As well their small road Packer has been parked in the street out front of my house for just as long. No cones around it. No signs .. And taking up MY parking in front of MY house so that I have to park down the street and walk home so I'm not parking my car in front of neighbors house making them walk. I have pictures of all this as well. On Monday will be contacting OH&S with proof of said infractions and a tow company if they don't remove their roller as it's been here for over 45 days now. Complete lack of respect for homeowners . And the work ... Well just seems to never get done or is always half done. I could have done this work in a few days myself with my daughter pulling take. What A Joke
