Great prices, good work and exceptional customer service. They did a great job on the road into our community.

I see some typical, "you can't please everyone" type reviews! But, there crew has done a top notch job on our commercial facility lot! Fast, efficient, professional and no B.S.!

American Asphalt just finished making a mess of resurfacing driveways, guest parking areas and access roads in our complex in Solana Beach. From day one these morons were behind schedule and through poor communication of their schedules inconvenienced everyone in the whole community. The new asphalt looked okay in our driveway and guest parking area until some idiot decided to spread sand over the entire surface supposedly to stop tire tracks marking the surface. They left the sand there for over a week and of course it was blowing into our garage and we were dragging it into our house. My wife contacted one of the supervisors named ROBERT SHEPARD and asked him to do something about the sand. After no response from Shepard I contacted him and warned him his job would be in jeopardy if he didn't do what my wife requested.Within a couple of hours some old codger with a blower vac came out and blew away the sand directly in front of our garage door.NOT GOOD ENOUGH ROBERT SHEPARD!Our driveway and guest parking area look like CRAP.....not the nice shiny new black asphalt surface that we were promised. The worst thing of all is their workers were not provided with protective ear muffs, industrial glasses or face masks while operating noisy machinery and inhaling toxic fumes.THE OWNERS SHOULD BE IN PRISON for endangering the health of their employees.....Of course it says a lot about American Asphalt when I was phoned by their president Greg Tyner who threatened and abused me verbally for calling his company's work pathetic.

Your employee Jerry was very rude to me on the phone. I called to see where specifically the streets would be shut down because Soledad Mtn. Road does not have real cross streets and that's where she was telling me to park. I went to go tell her a coldasac street off of Soledad Mtn. Road and could not see the sign visibly, she then told me how at her house she could see it perfectly fine... And I had to go on my phone to get the name, when she was already looking at a map. After I was finished I politely said thank you so much and NO RESPONSE, AT ALL, period (she hung up). I then called back to complain and she answered the phone. I said exactly "please don't be bias toward customers that are assertive" and she continued to be rude and corrected me saying I wasn't a customer, that I was a resident. Considering you were hired by the city, which our taxes go to, that I pay, I think I am a customer... VERY DISPLEASED
