My husband and I met Tropical Pavers at the home and patio show. Randy, the owner, was very personable, so we asked him to do a quote for our back yard patio. We had no idea what we wanted, but he was able to give us tons of ideas, and came out within a day and drew out a sample of a patio that had everything we told him we wanted and more, at a very reasonable price. He was extremely patient with us, even when he had to redraw a few different options because we were so indecisive (we ended up going with the original drawing. Go figure). He was so nice and wonderful during the entire process. After we finalized color and layout, our back patio was completed within 48 hours. His workers and staff left the property clean and even better and faster than we could have imagined. I would recommend them to anyone, and referred my parents to them as well!

Randy Burdine, the owner, came out to work up the estimate for installing remodel pavers over my pool/spa kool deck. Randy is very personal and provided several valuable pointers to consider when doing a pool renovation project. He suggested certain components that I should ensure get included in any competitor bids...even if his company doesn't win the contract. Very professional attitude. Tropical Pavers of Jax won the job by caring about doing it right. Their bid wasn't the lowest of the four bids received but wasn't the highest either; it was very competitive. When picking a contractor for a renovation project you should go with the company that you feel good about...and Tropical Pavers of Jacksonville really delivered a fantastic looking end product. Leo, the foreman of the installation crew, was highly skilled and his team worked like "artists", paying a lot of attention to the small details in the pavers placement and lots of precision cuts. I am very pleased with the outcome and the new pool deck looks amazing! I highly recommend Tropical Pavers of Jacksonville.

We hired Tropical Pavers on a recommendation. Randy is personable and helpful and gave us a good price on our paver patio. However, there is ZERO communication with him or his company once you sign the contract for work to begin. They arrived without warning to deliver the pavers, but did not arrive on the scheduled installation day. When the contractors did arrive a day later, they worked for a few hours and left with no communication to me as to whether they were taking a lunch break or leaving for the day. They also left a pile of materials in the driveway without telling me they were going to do so and after two days they arrived to move the materials, only to replace it with sod from the yard--which sat in my driveway for over one week. When the job was finally finished 16 days later, the contractors again left materials, the old sod--AND THEIR GARBAGE in front of my house. I had to call Randy to have it removed. Now, we are having trouble with the pavers coming loose and with the way the pavers were installed--now my yard floods.I might add that the work was completed two weeks ago. Repeated calls and emails go unanswered. I would not recommend this company. The design of the patio is wonderful, but the workmanship not so much.
