Definitely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with customer service. Don't count on them making things right if things go wrong!

I have used Royal Brick twice and have been very pleased with their work. The first project was a patio and a fire pit. The second was an extension of the patio. They did a great job and I've received numerous compliments. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Firstly, I should say that fundamentally it was my (the customer) fault that the job didn’t turn out as I expected. I accepted Royal Brick Pavers to do the job on the basis of a casually performed estimate and conversations – as opposed to writing a professional contract, with specifications, requirements, payment schedule, and penalty clauses. Don’t kid yourself, when dealing with contractors no job is too small for a complete, iron-clad contract. Anyway, Royal paved parts of the front yards and put in a patio in the backyard. The person representing Royal went around and promised they would do this area and that area, and they would move sprinklers, and cut plants, and put in drains where needed. Curiously, this all sounded too good, since with every little addition and regardless of the type of pavers selected, the Royal representative based his entire price only on the square footage. The final outcome was that Royal didn’t do many of the tasks promised. When confronted, the representative, of course, said the additions were not included in the bid and it would cost more to do more. This describes the typical contractor scenario. As a customer, if I don’t have a complete written contract, with volumes of technical specifications, I’m out of luck – and they know it. The sad part is that this Royal representative didn’t even have enough common sense or business sense to quote me a realistic price for everything I wanted. Given that I was already a receptive customer, I may have gone for it. Instead, Royal – or this representative – decide to effectively cheat me for a quick killing. I’m going to do my part to spread the word in my neighborhood.
