Kaplan Paving does not deserve one star for their review. Horrible business practices. In my opinion SCOTT GREENBERG is a crook. An educated college degree holding DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDREL. Update... Now Scott would like to call me. Scott my number hasn't changed since I was hired as a subcontractor by Kaplan paving or (All Snow Services) or (Express Paving) or (OPC Acquisitions) when you decided not to pay me in full for the work that had been completed. If you would like to call me why haven't you made any attempt before this review was made?? I have personally heard many negative things about your work as a paving contractor. I understand that you are an investor that buys established up and running businesses for a profit and more power to you for doing so. But it has to make one Wonder as to why someone would want to operate one business under so many different names. All I can say is in my experiences with Kaplan Paving I would not recommend them as a contractor to anybody whether you are a customer trying to get them to do work for you, or you are a subcontractor doing work for them.

6 MONTHS of CALL AFTER CALL AFTER CALL NOTHING IS BEING DONE, IT'S ALL EXCUSES AND LIES. __ 1 YEAR after driveway done by Kapan Paving it is cracking in all directions. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, THE BASE LAYER IS nearing 100 YEARS OLD, IT IS SOLIDLY SETTLED. I may have to open a lawsuit to either get this done right, a FULL REFUND or (expensive customer fines?) __ UNTIL THIS MATTER IS RECTIFIED, I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT USE ANY OF KAPLAN SERVICES. ======== UPDATE ========= Fall 2016. OUT OF THE BLUE they show up...but this saga isn't over. (good grief to put it mildly) Drive is torn up and left for ALMOST TWO WEEKS. In the meantime, "I!!!" am leveling the base. It took couple days with rake, shovel & 4 ft. Level to get it sloped correctly THIS TIME. AGAIN finally out of the blue they show up, Time from tearup? Yup, 2 weeks. The job leader was wide eyed when I shot the asphalt with a new temperature gun. This time the job was done right (fingers & toes crossed). 4 months now, snow fell & melted, looks good. STAY TUNED. TIME WILL TELL. WILL REPORT AGAIN IN A FEW MONTHS.

10/13/2017 I have 2 parking lots to pave in Chicago. Had numerous companies come out to bid. Kaplan was higher but the work description was the best. I followed up with the them to hire them. Their sales rep sends me a new proposal raising the price 15% and cutting the description of work to be performed. When I brought this to his attention he basically had no retort but to say take it or leave it. Not good customer service. BEWARE!

Kaplan came well recommended by another contractor we had worked with. The initial work of putting in the driveway was done well and we were impressed by the sales representative. We agreed to have them come back at the end of the summer to put down a seal coat. We are on the fourth reschedule now. When they agree to schedule the appointment, we receive an email saying please have your vehicles off the driveway by 8 am. They do not show up. They do not call to tell us they are not going to show up. They do not call to reschedule the appointment. Apparently it is up to us to initiate all communication except their templated email. They need to fix their process, to create a schedule they can actually achieve, and to be courteous enough to inform the people they are not going to visit. Without such a fix, I can not recommend them.

Kaplan Paving replace my driveway that had seen better days. I must commend them on their professionalism from the estimating of the job through the completion of the work. Kaplan maintained the schedule even with the stormy weather that has been prevalent in the Lake County area recently. The job was completed on time and the results exceeded my expectations.
