8/24/17 UPDATE on inital post. Turns our MT Laney posted false no partking signs staing they were working for WSSC when they were working on behalf of Washington Gas instead. They closed a street without signs. I don't know what would happen if someone need to get their car out of the cul de sac. 8/23/17 I just observed shockling unsafe behavior from the crew today at Chaney and Flower avenue in Takoma Park. They closed down Chaney road without putting up a sign or cones. When I asked about why I was denied access to the street, the jerk called me SWEETIE BABY . Here are pictures of the MT LANEY red truck parked illeglaly on an open street facing the wrong way and blocking the stop sign.

Their crew has done work in my neighborhood and is both dangerously incompetent and disorganized (no flaggers directing traffic where roads are closed, no signage or misleading signage), and rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. One of the workers threatened to assault me and gave me the finger. Another screamed a stream of profanities at me. They are unsafe, uncivil, unprofessional, unwelcome, and certainly to be avoided

The crews employed by M T Laney Co Inc stripped and repaved the streets on Bauernschmidt Manor in Essex, MD and a large part of Turkey Point Rd including Seneca Rd, Greyhound Rd, Old Turkey Point Road plus Bauernschmidt Dr during the autumn of 2013. The employees were conscientious, cooperative, polite and hard working. Driving delays were minimized by considerate flag men and women on walkie talkies. They were a well coordinated team. The paving turned out to be very smooth and a welcome difference driving on it versus the old road. However, the manhole covers are a different story. Driving over them is like hitting a small pothole. One would think that a company that did such a good job on the paving and mating with the residents' driveways with that pavement would have done a better job leveling the depth of the manhole covers to meet the surface of the roadway.
