I replaced my driveway earlier this summer and contacted Asphalt Specialties to do the job as they had good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing. From start to finish, the job took about two months. During that time, we received a decent amount of rain, slowing down progress. This is obviously something the company cannot control. However, what was most frustrating to me during this process was the lack of communication. I was finally told on a Tuesday that my new driveway was going to be put in on Thursday but when I got home from work that night, no work was done and I did not receive any updates as to why. The same thing happened the following day on Friday and I called the company the following Monday. When it was finally put in after a week of dry weather later, the end product looked nice, but it was a disappointing experience overall. I WILL NOT be recommending this company to others.

Working with Mitch was a great experience. We were part of a larger group of friends and relatives (5 altogether) that had our driveways done at the same time. Mitch gave each of us a timely quote. He was knowledgeable about the various circumstances that would affect each driveway. The pricing was reasonable for all of us. The crew was efficient in both tearout and repaving of our driveway. We're very happy with the end result and so are the rest of the people in our group. Nicely done!

Will have had a our driveway for 5 years this August. Coming home today I realized this and wanted to share with others who are looking for terrific service and a beautifully finished driveway. The sales guy was incredibly personable and told us what we needed to know, not what we wanted to hear. The crew was excellent, efficient, and informative. Would recommend these guys to anyone.

We needed to replace our entire driveway and add a concrete walkway. They were the least expensive quote and had a 10 year warranty, which most companies do not offer. I am pleased with experience and the final product looks great. The removal, concrete, and asphalt installation took separate visits with different crews, and I would have liked more communication as far as when the next step would take place. That's about the only negative thing, which wasn't a huge deal. Overall, I would recommend this company.

Least expensive and high quality work. The salesman Joseph Dalton will give a straight honest answer and no hidden cost. They have completely overhauled my old driveway and built a new one at the price almost half of what other companies are charging at my previous house in Fridley. Now I am asking them to do a driveway extension at my new house.
