Told the project manager and forman two special things I needed done. Different forman showed up on job and neither one was done. Paved too high along a low section of curb and gutter where water use to cross driveway to escape. Now water stays trapped in gutter. Idiots. Had a large trapped pool of water in parking area. I asked them to fix it. After two years of repeated attempts to get them to fix it I eventually had to contact the BBB. They finally fixed it. Kind of, now just a smaller pool of water. Looks like poor quality asphalt. After a few years some cracks and small potholes started forming.

***BEWARE of David and Dennis Puff***These guys are brothers and as you can see from the reviews below they have family and close friends making up some of their reviews for them. I hired this company for a 65K dollar project and had nothing but aggravations. First and foremost they subcontract their work out, so if you think they are cheap they are not because someone is doing it for them cheaper. Secondly they lie to you about work that has been done and when crews will start and finish projects. My job took almost an entire month when it should've been done in a week an a half. I drove in from out of town based on the schedules they had provided. When the work was scheduled to start many of those days their crews didn't arrive on time and in some instances didn't even come out the scheduled days. I called for answers and was usually connected to a voice mailbox or a receptionist. They were constantly missing areas and had to be baby sat and directed. Some days I even helped them because they lack attention to detail and were understaffed. They had some areas they didn't even do correctly and had to come back and re do again. To top it off when the project was suppose to be finished and completed I get a phone call because a child had tripped and cut their leg on debris that was not cleaned up properly. Instead of an apology I am told "don't worry we are insured, so no worries there." This guys are not good people to conduct business with and take unprofessional to new levels. I urge you to reconsider hiring these poor excuses of contractors for your job. If they have given you a good price just know the frustration they will cause is not worth the savings!!! Their subs for me were (Marsala Asphalt and Contractor) & (Available Asphalt and Concrete.) I bet they are lower in pricing.

Having checked with several asphalt contractors in the STL area. I found Aspalt Paving and Concrete to be head and shoulders above everyone else. They are the BEST plain and simple. Give them a call and even compare them against anyone else and you will know quickly. I would definitely want them again if I ever need any more work done on my driveway.

One of my worst experiences with any company. When we first signed the contract, they told us there was a 2-week delay. We waited for a few weeks and heard nothing. Hubby called and the secretary had zero information, so told us that someone would call. We waited for a few days and nobody did. Hubby called again. Finally someone called back and quoted us another 2-week time frame. We waited another 2 weeks and still heard nothing. We called again. Finally we heard from the project manager saying he would be out the following week. The next week he emailed citing the rain as a reason the driveway remained unfinished. Hubby emailed back asking for a more firm date of completion, and then received a phone call giving a definite date. The project manager also said he would call if any problems arose to prevent completion. On the day that was quoted to us, we had a friend keep an eye on the house to see how the work was going. Nobody was there. No work was being done. The next day hubby called the project manager wondering why we waited 2 months to have nothing done, and why there was no phone call about the lack of work. He immediately became highly defensive saying he didn't want to bother us on vacation but that there was some rain in the past month and there were other companies he had to finish first, etc etc. So many reasons why we didn't matter and still couldn't have a paved driveway for over 2 months. After hearing him refuse to take any responsibility, my husband stated that he just wanted somebody to pave our driveway. His response? "So do you just want me to take you off the list?" Instead of actually doing the work even after 2 months, he volunteered to cancel our contract. TL;DR-- Little to no communication. Had to call so many times to get any response. Didn't pave even though we waited 2 months. Made excuses and scheduled bigger companies before us just so they could make more $$$. Didn't take any responsibility for the work and offered to cancel our contract when we said we wanted the job done. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.
