AA Blacktop been doing work for us for many years I find his work acceptable and reliable

Jul 3, 2017
If I could give zero stars I would, extremely unorganized, the guy came to my house over a month ago to measure and give me a price. I said ok let's do it now every time I call him (3 times ) it's the same thing " the weather messed me up I'll see what I can do for you in the coming week". I called him again and same thing only this time he said I'll try to make it out to you this week then later on in the conversation he says next week so that leads me to believe he has no idea when he's coming and is just putting me off. I have already taken two days off for past dates that he " promised" to come. He's not going to be doing any work for me.

Multiple failure areas appeared within two months on a very extensive blacktop job. Apparent poor quality materials and time shortcuts to save money and pad profits. Comes off as busy, old-school, hardworking contractor but will not make repairs, stand behind or warranty job. Says he's working on fixing it but never shows up and ultimately that it is not his problem. Blames other people for his shoddy work. Ask around....Gale Luskin's reputation is LESS than stellar. We found out too late. Save yourself the headache. Works with his kid, Greg Luskin, who is an arrogant, argumentative loud mouth. Steer clear. Don't know how AA Blacktop at 180 Lishakill Rd in Schenectady, NY stays in business serving the Albany and Capital District area. Sealcoat is thin black water and washes off in a couple of months. Asphalt quality is not smooth, has cracks and soft spots. Old blacktop chunks thrown off to the side and not collected. Sloppy workmanship. Unhappy workers. Old equipment. Steer clear.
