I needed my 300 foot driveway smoothed out to deal with the ruts from the winter. I called a number of contractors and G B Paving was the least expensive. We agreed they would use a crushed rock and concrete mix that would solidify into a hard surface. I knew I wasn't going to get a paved driveway, because I had the top end of the driveway paved about 10 years ago, and it was expensive, but still looks great. So when G B's agent told me about this mix, I agreed. I knew things weren't going to go well when they started doing work in a down pour. They started on a cloudy morning, and when the rain starting coming down in buckets, they loaded up the equipment and took off. I figured they would return as soon as the weather cleared up. The weather cleared, but my driveway was covered in puddles. I called the company and they gave me some run around about this was what I paid for, etc. I told them the previous company that did the paving for the top part of the driveway, did the crush rock concrete mix, and it lasted for a few years until the plow guy started digging into the roadway despite my instructions to lift the plow. Not the original contractor's fault, but I knew what the driveway should look like. Mine looked like they went to a land fill (they said they didn't) and had bricks and other strange looking objects in it. Where the previous contractor's work was uniform in texture and color, this new work was haphazard, wavy, and my driveway looks terrible with the different colors of rocks. I called G B again and even sent them an email explaining the issues, and that I wasn't happy. I wanted them to come back and reroll the uneven spots. I guess they did, but my driveway still looks horrible. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND G. B. PAVING BECAUSE OF THE POOR QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.
