I selected A-Quality paving for my driveway after getting a few quotes from other paving contractors which I would highly recommend anyone to do. A-Quality was not the cheapest but Upon meeting with Steve on 2 separate occasions I felt comfortable with the knowledge he seemed to have in the paving field. I have been in construction for 40 years, I do not claim asphalt paving as my field of expertise although I have had multiple driveways done and know a good job upon completion. To start with after a couple delays scheduling weather etc... we finally begin the project. I felt comfortable after another walk-through with leaving and head on into the office. This was my first mistake, after returning home to find my driveway near 2 foot narrower than we spoke about. Needless to say it was to late (I was told) for it would not properly bond if added in at this time. I was credited back the footage but still this was still very disappointing. Now when people back out they always run off the edge and dependent on your vehicle bottom out due to the drop off. Now my only recourse is form up a 2 foot strip along the side and have concrete poured I guess. I will say what was down seemed to look pretty good, it wasn't pulled to quickly and had a nice tight pattern. Let's fast forward, after just a few months I noticed the upper part of the drive starting to crack.(approximately a 7 foot by 14 foot area) You can actually walk on this and watch the asphalt flex up and down. I believe what we have here is either a failure in compaction and or lack of bonding material below. I have contacted the estimator Steve and sent photos on multiple occasions only to be promised a time to come out and take a look or I have been told that they were planning on being in the area and will fix this to plain just being ignored and no return calls. In all my years in construction I have never filed a complaint nor left negative feedback on any business, I have always taken a mans word and a handshake as his bond. I would be honest and say I might and actually have to my neighbor (BEFORE BEING IGNORED) recommended A Quality Paving with the added statement don't go to work, stay onsite and manage the project or you may be disappointed in your final product. I did not use this company so the quality of the paving I can't speak to, but I can tell you they are shady as Elm tree. I had them come do a quote for a parking pad for me. The man came to my house and was very thorough. BUT he apparently didn't realize I was getting multiple quotes and thought I was gullible. There quote was twice the other contractor. What's even worse though is they lied about getting in touch with the town to get approval for installing the driveway. The VP told me that he had called the town him self and gotten approval only to find out that the town had never received a call and requires someone come look at the site to grant approval. Definitely do not recommend a company with such questionable business practices.

To start off with a piece of common ground, anyone wanting to asphalt anything is a big decision. It was for me, and I know that I 100% made the best choice going with A Quality Paving. If you are looking for a professional, experienced company look no further. These gentlemen will exceed your requirements, and set a very high standard on what asphalt pavers and company's SHOULD be like. They quoted my driveway in February, and did not go a penny over. They done more work than I was quoted and stood behind their quote when it was finished. Robert is the owner, and he stayed on the job from the start to finish. His crew of men absolutely amazed me. They are very organized, polite, hardworking and true professionals at what they do. Robert is very easy to talk to and more than willing to do anything you request. Their estimator Steve is very experienced and knowledgeable. He will stay in touch with you from start to end. The president of my HOA is calling Steve back to get estimates to pave our subdivision road as he was highly impressed as well. You cannot hire a better company than this. In my opinion this is by far the best Asphalt Paving company period.

These folks have done excellent work for me on two occasions, one at my home and the other at my business. They did exactly what I asked them to do, and for exactly the price quoted. Not the easiest people in the world to communicate with, but they're not at all rude. And they do very good work. Oh and they are not located in Weaverville.

Buyers Beware! Don't EVER get A-Quality Paving to pave anything for you, they will over charge you & not do a very good job. The owner Robert has no respect for anyone & could argue with a brick wall.Very unprofessional.
