I hate to admit it but I'm getting older at 66 and can't lift as much. Gravity must have gotten stronger! Never had the need to call DPW ever as a Scranton homeowner for 45 years. Had to slide an old mattress, spring, frame down from a second floor bedroom to my front porch. Was tuckered out doing that. Was going to try to move it out to curbside so I could access my outdoor light switch for the decorations. Successful kids coming back for Christmas (wish they were here but the big jobs are not yet) so I wanted our Green Ridge homes nice. Thought it would be A nice Colliery Ave. guy J.J. O'Malley that I grew up with in Minooka was on the phone for DPW calls. He had a couple of heart attacks and lost his wife so they put him on phone duty to relate. He gets it when one of our taxpaying residents are real. A lot of the hard working guys in DPW are super real practical neighbors. Dick Powell 822 Richmont Street, Scranton Thank You unsung hero's.
