Elite Paving Inc

Dishonest Company I would like to relate my story regarding Elite Paving Company. I am a homeowner who lives a few doors down from a job where these folks were working. It appears that when they were leaving the job site with their trucks they were occupying the wrong lane down our street ( I observed them parked out in the street in the wrong lane all week) , but at least they were not moving! In any case a young man was driving down the street and had to swerve off the road to not have a major accident and went up onto my property destroying my mailbox and post. This young man is in the military and home on break. He recounted that they were responsible for the accident and since the Elite Paving Company driver begged him not to report the incident to the police due to the possibility of losing his CDL license, the young man told them they would have to be responsible for my damages and they agreed and said they would return to my home to pay for the repair. They never came back to my home . This morning, the young man.s father who is a state trooper came over to follow up and see if they came back to make good on their promise. I told him that they did not but that I would call them. I called and spoke to Gary Martin who denied any wrongdoing and blamed the young man (who was kind enough to leave a note explaining the whole incident). So you know what Mr. Martin... you are dishonest...it's only a mailbox but that boy could have been killed. Your driver asked the young man to NOT call the police to protect his license and against his better judgement the young man complied and then you did NOT send someone out and flat out lied about the whole affair. It's funny but we were going to have our driveway paved and were considering calling your firm but at this point you lost our business and anyone else that I happen to know in the area. I do not know if you are a Christian but if you are next time you are in "church" being so Christian ... think about your dishonesty. I too am a business owner in the community and believe me that if I had caused this , firstly, I would be apologizing and then I would make amends. If you are this dishonest over a mailbox I can't imagine how anyone could or should trust you or your firm on a job.
