Late last night, it was dark, my phone was dead and I couldn't get an uber. I went to this bank feeling a little stressed due to the situation and they were extremely kind. David got me the phone number for yellow cab, let me use one of their phones and allowed me to wait inside while my cab got there. This kind of great customer service has made think to switch from my bank to RBC. Thank you!!

This branch is absolutely amazing and the girls are so so friendly!!! Fast service always! They’ve handled large amounts of money very professionally. I’m very happy here!

I hate to make this review here because it is not the branch's fault....but.. What an awful experience opening a new account at @RBC #RBC #royalbank 1 - You guys did a hard inquiry to my credit file although I was not asking for any credit for you, lowering my credit score. Normally other institutions would do a soft inquiry if it is just to verify identity. I was told at the branch “it is done to set up the limits”. What do the transactions limits have to do with your credit score? If we were setting up credit limits I would agree, but not transaction limits. 2 – You guys advertise so proudly the international money transfer for only 13.5 dollars but do not specify on the Legal Disclaimers that only works when the recipient is a person and not a business. 3 – You guys locked out my account for suspicious activity without even giving me a phone call in order to verify if the transactions were legit. Suspicious activity, defined as “not normal or regular activity”. Compared against what??? It is a new account for God sake! 4- After being fed up with this horrible experience and driving across the city because the branch close to my work place would not close my account, I had to go to the one where I originally opened the account to find out I cannot close the accounts or withdraw the money I sent to myself through e-transfer until 4 more business days because I am apparently being flagged as a person who is attempting fraud. 5 – When I first sent the e-transfer to make the first deposit I had to even call because only the savings account appeared active, not the checking. 6- Dear RBC, you really need to review your business processes and line up your Information Technology Systems with them. That being said, how far are you willing to push “my own security” trading off the quality assurance of your product, making my overall experience as a new customer a nightmare.
