Fast friendly staff that treat you like friends and help with local advice if possible and great selection of banking options from investments to rrsp's

Unlike uk bank it very slow to open new account and issue cards. It take 2 to 3 week to get cards!!! Cheque is expensive and best avoid them unless really needed. Good website and online banking. There still some way to.moderise the system to.match EU speed. Cashless society is already here.

No parking, long line ups, no investment agents available. Always an empty teller spot and everyone waits. Tellers talk slow and walk slow. Avoid when possible or bank elsewhere. Worst RBC ever.

A great big thanks to mortgage expert Sandi. So thankful for the quick service and answers to my questions. How wonderful to find a bank so easy to deal with, especially without an appointment.

My boyfriend and I came in to get a printout of some information we needed. After spending half an hour in line, we were treated incredibly poorly by the teller. She did not let us finish explaining what we needed and cut us off, saying it was too close to her break and that she wouldn't help us. Frustrated and annoyed, we went to the back of the line so my boyfriend could calm down and go to another teller. He had not raised his voice or done anything threatening what so ever. The teller had sent the manager to speak with us, and she as well refused to help us and tried to make us leave without reason. Out of frustration my boyfriend broke a pen. We were threatened to be charged with damage of property over said pen and were chased out by security. We were then followed all the way to Tin Horton's by 3 police vehicles. They questioned us as the manager, the owner, and the security guard had all called the police and told them that my boyfriend had attacked the manager. He had not laid a finger on amyone amd it was very clear to see that. The head of the investigation actually ended up charging the bank people for lying to an officer and causing mischief. Since then, they have been putting ever single one of my boyfriends cheques on hold for at a week and charging us for every withdrawal. This has cost us a massive amount and led to us having to move back in with my parents. We will be leaving RBC as soon as we can.
