I've used First Foundation for multiple mortgages and every time I've been completely satisfied with my experience. Everyone I've dealt with is extremely nice, knowledgeable, and responsive. Being able to go through the mortgage process via email & phone saves a lot of time and makes the task much more manageable (plus the best interest rates). Save yourself some stress and give them a shout!

This is easily the worst customer experience of my life in the world finance! They bait you into getting pre-approvals/approvals with them by being able to do it on line and claiming they are local, then you discover that in fact they have no representation in your city and by this time you are stuck with them. Further to this their, phones conveniently stop ringing and are out of service on closing day... I would implore you to seek alternatives.

These guys have been taking care of my borrowing needs for years. This includes both my residences and revenue properties. They have a wider of variety of borrowing solutions than most people would imagine. Most importantly, the service has always been outstanding. Over the years, I've had a few "problems" with the banks who provide the loans and, in every case, First Foundation has had my back. So in my opinion, if you need a mortgage, you'd be foolish to talk to anyone else.

I used First Foundation in ED as our mortgage broker for our first home and was impressed by their patience to educate my wife and I on the process and their responsive service. That was back in 2005. More recently we refinanced our mortgage to change to a lower fixed rate and they made that process very painless. I definitely recommend First Foundation for anybody looking for a true mortgage expert and wants to avoid dealing with annoying bank sales people.

I'm in the process of getting my second mortgage through first foundation and have been more than impressed with the level of service they have provided. I am not overly knowledgable in the world of finances and mortgages but Gord always goes above and beyond to answer my questions in a way that I can understand. Buying a house is always a bit of a stressfull experience but First Foundation has made the mortgage part of it as simple and hassle free as possible :)
