The branch manager here is a liar. When I tried to close my account, he told me to read the fine text which he claimed to state that if I close the account within a year I'm gonna need to return the promotional bonus. This isn't true! I successfully closed my account at the yorkville location and they told me that once the bonus is in your account, you can do whatever you want with it.

My experience has been very good so far. Everything I needed has been done in time, with respect and attention that I lacked in other banks.

I know HSBC isn't strong in Canada, but from this branch I've got the worst experience ever. Been here twice for drafts, branch never pick up the phone nor return fax to verify for me. First time I ended up waiting more than a week for my fund to release and losing thousands of dollars because of the delay. Second time I asked them for a staff's phone number to verify my draft, and they told me to fax. And yes they are from 14th century and they don't have a business phone. Ridiculous service and staffs.
