Homebase was recommended by a client who got a second mortgage recently. Needed $200k for renovations and repairs. Got the money in two days. AJ was great to work with and walked me through everything beforehand. Absolutely recommend.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I was in a rush to get funds, and was told I would have them in 3 days. Unfortunately, they told the home appraiser the wrong phone number to contact me, so this added another 2 days to the process. Then they took 2 days to process the paperwork. Then they sent my identification papers to a lawyer, whose internet was down for 4 days. I could not believe how unprofessional this company was. When I finally thought it was over, I had to wait another full weekend because the lender was taking their time with the lawyer on their side. Nothing was prepared and ready to go. Now, after I finally got my finds, I have been told to send new post-dated cheques to a different lender because the first lender needed their money back so they had to find a new lender.. I was so stressed and needing money cash, and I trusted Danny, who said he would have the funds IN MY BANK ACCOUNT in 2 business days. I should have gone with Freedom Lending who also gave the same guarantee but without the smooth talk. Oh by the way, I requested that I needed $20,000, and Danny raised the amount to $25,000. I was surprised and accepted, thinking that I could use a few extra dollars. The money I received in my bank finally was just over $17,000. That means that ALMOST $8,000 WENT TO SERVICE FEES. This was NEVER explained to me. I found out after I received the funds, stunned that I didn't even receive the original amount that I requested. WORST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, AND ANXIETY-RIDDEN EXPERIENCE EVER. IF YOU NEED FUNDS FAST, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE PLACE TO GO. The only positive in this experience is that I met lawyer Jane Chung who was calm and gently encouraging throughout the entire process. Thank you Jane, NO THANKS TO DANNY AND HOMEBASE MORTGAGES/ AKA MORTGAGE CENTRAL.
