I generally don’t write reviews but I truly wish I had the same great experience as everyone else on the CMG website and I posted this to the CMG site but they did not put it up and I know Google will not discriminate……… Teresa came highly recommended by our Agent. She had a great strategy, introduced a program we were not aware of (and weary we would qualify for). We met every single requirement and jumped through all the hoops. We were complimented on how “clean” the paperwork was from the loan processor while waiting on the rescore. We were unfortunately declined which lead me to talk to other lenders. They were unanimous in the observation that certain things should have been handled differently (i.e. getting the re-score back before making the offer and paying for the inspection). In hind sight this seems like common sense but before putting the money down, getting the re-score, paying for the inspection we were given a 99% guarantee that if the re-score came back at a certain number we would be good. We also felt that if it was not a good recommendation than Teresa would give us better advise. The re-score came back higher than required but I guess we are the 1%. That is all a part of life but the reason I am giving one star is because after all these broken promises it has been like pulling teeth to get the declination letter from CMG to get back our binder. I find it hard to believe that a professional company can not draft a letter like this in a business day or sooner (I know it can be done in an hour). Long story short they "tried really hard" now we have nothing to show for it and I am fighting to get my "guaranteed" binder back...........VERY UNPROFESSIONAL from expectations set at the start to fighting for our declination letter at the finish PS…..Teresa’s exact words after we were declined “I have seen people with a credit score of 800 get denied because their credit profile is not strong enough” Very different information than what she told us before we applied.
