Read about what they did in Tampa to responsible homeowners. In the resulting court case, Ditech got verbally slammed by a judge then appealed the decision. What sleazes! Complete morons... don't do business with them ever.

VERY dissatisfied. To place an online payment, there is a $12 fee. Having the experience I have with merchant processing, P.O.S. systems, and my own personal accounts with institutions in various retail and lender markets, that's a RIDICULOUS fee. After Calling in twice, they did not seem to care about us, and their first offer was that we could explore other lenders to refinance our mortgage. When asking if our account was worth that $12, they would either side step the question, or more-or-less said no. I asked, out of curiosity not judgment, what service they were using to process those online payments. They said Western Union. Further more, if you don't know to press the '0' key on each of 7 prompts, you won't be able to speak to a human being until you go through 3.5 minutes of prompts and speeches. Unacceptable. Lastly, they have 24 hour 'loan officers' that are willing to help finance your loan or sell you a new one, but they do not have 24 hour customer service. Seems a bit odd, but that is actually common among these mortgage companies and kinda the least of my concern; but it does keep adding on top of the mountain of dissatisfaction. We really enjoy having accounts with companies that care about us and take care of us. We will be refinancing and leaving reviews like this, as promised.

Absolutely horrible since ditech bought them out. Never a single issue with green tree... 13 years with no issues and we get a $3000 bill in the mail.
