Ran to this bank for help consolidating my debt. I told them how bad my credit is because of the debt. They seemed positive and requested I open an account before I apply for loan. Opened account and the applied for loan. I was told that I would hear back in 24hrs. Waited patiently and I called them after 24hrs. They told me no result yet and to wait another 12hrs. When they called back, they told me loan request was denied. I was devastated. Why make me open an account and run hard inquiry when I already told you my credit situation? I even made miltiple trips home to get my physical SSN card because they requested make a copy of it to open the account. I was really disappointed at their process. They should not make opening an account a prerequisite to obtaining a loan until the person is approved. They should change their approval process from 24-36hrs to immediately so that customers don't be hoping for long to know what's next.

Good staff I have been banking with them for over 14 years now and they have always solved my problems

This was the worst experience I've ever had from a bank! Mara Barbosa would never follow up with me on the status of a loan that was super important to me and my family. I would constantly call her and leave voice mails and I would get very little and wrong information. I finally gave up on Mara and called the bank directly and they had our information wrong! After 7 days of going back and forth trying to get this fixed without anyone following up with me, I gave up and now I will be closing my account next time they are open. I'm frustrated and exhausted over something that should've been so simple. I have had so many loans in my life and I've never been through so much for something so easy to do! This bank is pathetic and I will recommend to take your business somewhere else.

Love the tellers Michelle and Peggy, I won't go unless one of them is helping me, but as a company there are aspects of itself that makes me give it only 3 stars......for example, how the account won't always process transactions in purchase order so you can end up with more overdraft fees than you should, but other than that they are great and customer service has worked those glitches out on my account, it is just frustrating having to take the time to work it out. My husband and I are in a tough spot financially and they have never been rude about our account not always being in the positive and have always offered ways to help us financially. It puts my mind at ease knowing they care about the person behind the account and they care about helping them, not just the balance the account holds:)
