Valley West Mortgage

I had nothing but a great experience dealing with my mortgage broker from Valley West Mortgage. Jason Michel was knowledgeable, quick to respond to questions and help me with everything I needed. I would gladly call him again for any loan I need. On top, I also got the best rate from him, after calling about 6 other companies (he even got me a great home owners insurance quote without prompt, and was a better priced quote than the one I had gotten). Buying a house is always a roller coaster ride, especially when you are on a budget. My family of six decided to buy at a house when the market was kind of crazy (i.e. "seller's market"), but everyone at Valley West ensured my experience was as positive as possible. My loan officer was Jeff Gonzalez. He was very prompt in responding to any of my concerns. Interest rates were fluctuating while I was putting in offers for homes and Jeff was very realistic in the amount that I would be looking at from the beginning and assured my wife and I that he would try to get us the lowest rate possible. He even gave us his own suggestions in the types of homes to look for and the areas that typically hold value better in the market. I really appreciated this because he was very knowledgeable in the data that he comes across through his experience in this field. My realtor and us decided to put in an offer over the asking amount and agreed to pay that amount (even if the appraisal came back lower than that, which we expected it would). The appraisal then came back a lot lower than what we anticipated (because of a cash buyer) and we were at a loss of how to come up with a larger down payment. It was at this proposition that Jeff really came through for us. He went through every possible single payment option with my wife and I. He even took the time to talk us through our concerns while he was ill. Every time we came to the office, I genuinely felt like he shared my concerns and that I was a valued client. For example, when I was upset over the down payment, he looked into special programs that were being offered at the time to teachers and some other options that he was aware of to try to get my down payment to be affordable for my family. I could not be more satisfied with my experience with Valley West and Jeff Gonzalez. This was better than any mortgage company I've ever dealt with in the past and they will truly show care and compassion during your home buying experience. If you are looking for a mortgage company or loan officer, this is definitely the place to go! Thank you for everything you all did for my family and me!

Valley West is great - always helpful and fast. I have purchased two homes through them and both times they have been extremely helpful. The professional who assisted me most recently was Jason Michel. He was fast, efficient, and friendly. Brittany Machanello was also awesome. From the beginning David Mattiello (loan coordinator) and Johnny my Agent were a great help in helping me get everything needed to make sure i qualify for a house and find one with me. They made it easy for me. You guys Rock!!!
