I have worked with Lee Hardin at Good Mortgage for both of my home loans. He is quick to respond and is very helpful through what can be a stressful process. Lee even replied to me when needed after hours and on weekends due to closing changes. I highly recommend Lee; I have referred friends and family to him knowing they are in the best hands.

Run...very bad experience. Got deal done at local bank in one day.

Lee Hardin was the worst I would call and leave multiple messages a day, he would never answer or return my call. It was the worst experience with a home purchase ever.

I would like to note Will Darcey was great (as you will see if you read this review) Everyone else I dealt with made this experience terrible. High level overview. Pros: Fast appraisal, fast lock in rate. Cons: Estimated closing cost were WAY off, no one answers a phone, response time is never in the 24-48 hour window. Overall the process was worse then expected. This was my first home purchase (through a loan) and will never go based off Zillow reviews again. All documentation requested on my end was sent the day of request and most of the time sent within 30 minutes. Appraisal was done fast and got a locked in rate quick. It all went down hill once the paperwork was sent to the underwriter. Also, no one ever answers their phone or returns a call EXCEPT Will Darcey. Just terrible customer service. Aug 3rd, first documentation was requested. I sent all requested documentation that day. Aug 8th, received conditions which were expected. I provided all documentation to them by Aug 8th. Aug 11th, I followed up because I still did not hear from them. I was told review time is 24-48 hours. Apparently they do not know what 24-48 hours means because that time clearly passed. (consistent theme throughout the process) Aug 11th at 5:09PM, Finally receive more documentation the want. I provide detail within the hour. Aug 15th, get acknowledgement that all data was received..... 2 business days pass Aug 16th, I follow up to remind them it has been 48 hours and still no update. Sherri lets me know it is under final review.... Aug 17th, I email and call. Told it is still under review. No phone call answered. Aug 18th, I email and call. Told it is still under review. No phone call answered. Aug 24th, A WEEK later they request one more documentation. I repeat ONE WEEK. That 24-48 hour window is looking glorious now. This is 3 business days before my close. Aug 25th, Finally get a hold of Will because he is the only person I worked with that ever answered a phone. Got everything expedited since it was so last minute. Got clear to close finally. Aug 28th, Still have not received final number to set up wire transfer. Sadly Will was out so had to deal with Peter Zomick. I call him, no answer. Sent him an email and told him I need final number by 3PM so the wire transfer will go through by the close date tomorrow. No surprise, goodmortgage fails to give me a number until 9:58am on Aug 29th, already in the closing room that was scheduled at 10am Aug 29th. Luckily I just wired a ballpark number otherwise it would have been a dry close. Closing cost were way off as well. They almost doubled by the time I received the final number as well! Not sure if this is a common theme but find it very unlikely since most have the exact amount needed for a down payment. Thank god this was not a make or break situation for us. BadMortgage will not be recommended by me to anyone. Next time I will do my due diligence before paying the $600 fee upfront. Also, at closing, I signed documents saying my loan was already sold (which was expected) but really that fast? I got the final documentation after they sold my loan. Just comical how they can get that done so fast.

Long story short--- I'd never use them if I were you. We need 1 document from this company to buy a home- they're a previous employer. First contact was last month- then contacted them 7 times. There is such bumbling, confusion, and "he said, she said" at that company it will make your head spin. And that's just to get 1 paper done!!! They finally sent the 1 paper today- but left off the most important part about the finances!!! SMH. I just have to laugh at their inefficiency... Imagine how they will be with a whole loan full of paperwork.
