I've haven't been to too many places like this. I went by the one place on MacLeod trail and the guy who runs the place there was quite rude and unpleasant so I didn't care to deal with it anymore as it felt like establishmemts like this are all the same where they just have a f you attitude. After a while I figured I'd try out a different place to get rid of some of my watches that I haven't worn in a long time. I went to smart gold definitely hesitant but Sebastian was a completely different experience. He was a very down to earth person who was fair with his prices and could articulate why his offer was what it was and would even include you as the customer and work with you. I can't recommend this place enough and Sebastian is a pretty fun guy to talk to as well. Definitely take the time to make the trip if you want to get rid of your unused jewellery. He doesn't hide anything and isn't out to screw you over and I'd say probably the best part was that he talks to people like they're humans not like buddy at the other place who talks to you as if you're some theif out to screw him.

Smart Gold is the best gold broker in Calgary. The manager is very helpful and knowledgeable, he is also very fair. I would not take my gold to any other location in the City. I am a repeat customer and I highly recommend this business to all of my friends, family, and colleagues!

I had a great experience with Smart Gold. I had never sold gold or jewelry before and in all honesty I was pretty nervous about being scammed. They took their time with all of my items, checked each piece for stamps and used a laser machine to determine the gold content. All my items were weighed and I was given the total market value for my gold. I was then asked to make them a fair offer. I was very dumb and low balled my self (whoops) and they could have just gave me what I asked for laughing all the way to the bank, but they didn't. I was very impressed and grateful for their honesty and that's why I highly recommend Smart Gold to sell your jewelry to.
