I bought a ring that had a defect in the diamond in Australia. I live in the US and was able to travel to Vancouver only within a limited time to visit a Michael Hill store. Jackie, the manager was so helpful. He found a ring replacement, got the transaction approved, super rushed my ring resize, and worked out many things on my behalf in just a few days so that I could pick up my ring before my flight. Very happy with my experience with Jackie! He also updated me via email re: my ring frequently. My husband and I were initially a bit disappointed by our anniversary ring purchase but the way Michael Hill and specifically Jackie helped resolve the issue made us very happy with our first purchase!

Purchases a promise ring, it happened to be slightly big so they sent it away to get it sized to my finger. When I got it back it was still the same size if not bigger but I paid before hand to get it sized. I live 3 hours away from this shop so my sister went in to pick it up for me with receipt and proof that we had to come and pick it up from being sized, first they told her that she wasn’t allowed to pick it up for me, then they said it wasn’t ready for pick up. Eventually after arguing for a couple minutes they said fine take the ring and handed her the ring (no box or bag) and tried to make her pay for it AGAIN! Even with the proof of purchase. I cannot get over how terrible the customer service is in this store! DO NOT SHOP HERE! My rant is over and my ring will most likely be returned and purchased elsewhere

You can definitely tell that this place offers commisions to their employees. I have shopped at other Michael Hill locations with great success. But this place seems so pushy.

Bought myself a gorgeous watch from here, can honestly say that I’ve never been so happy with this purchase, I had EXCELLENT service with the store manager, Justin.

The service is terrible. I wanted to buy a necklace for a friend and told the lady I wanted to choose the top 5 and then from there, choose the one I'm going to buy. She must have misunderstood me as when she realized that I'm only going to buy 1 out of the 5 necklaces, I could sense a negative vibe from her and she kind of gave me a scoff. I almost left saying I didn't want anything but I'm not the kind of person to do that so I did end up buying a necklace. Never going back though. All they want is to get the customers to spend as much as possible, which I get. But it's not okay to look down on someone if they only plan to go in and get just one item.
