Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We went in to just start getting ideas for engagement rings because we had no idea what we wanted. Paul Michaels was about to leave, but instead spent over 2 hours with us. He helped us refine our understanding of what we were looking for by going through many rings in his large and diverse collection. He was friendly and gave direct and honest advice, giving us just the right amount of encouragement and feedback. We ended up choosing a ring at our first visit. He called after the proposal to ask how it went and offers free cleaning and inspection going forward. Will definitely come here again. Especially recommended if you are looking for unique pieces or don't know what you're looking for.

My fiance and I visited Aurum to pick out our wedding bands, and we could not have had a lovelier, more personal experience. I had made an appointment with the owner, Paul Michaels, the prior afternoon. Upon arrival, he had an extensive and beautiful collection of options, and he helped me to find the perfect ring to match my 1930's vintage, family engagement ring. He also spent considerable time helping my fiance to design a custom band, going over each detail with patience and seasoned guidance. Purchasing your wedding bands can be a daunting experience for a variety of reasons, but our experience at Aurum was nothing but fun and ease. It should also be noted that Mr. Michael's is a very personable and kind man. He had another client when we arrived, and others who stopped by during our time there. With each interaction, he treated the person with such a personal touch and professionalism. It's clear that he is both passionate and extremely knowledgeable, and takes care to make each customer feel special. We also greatly enjoyed his stories of traveling, acquiring interesting pieces (ask about his chandelier!), and Buffalo. We highly recommend Aurum!

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and never tried them because they seemed too upscale for my needs. I needed a simple repair and they were so gracious! Could not be the nicer people! Lovely shop and so kind! Fixed my little silver ring from Mexico without the slightest hint of “oh this is just a travel trinket” kind of attitude! The truth is my husband is disabled and the ring is a treasure from our last cruise before he became unable to walk. Its priceless to me. Highly recommend them and especially if you need some unique pieces they have a good selection of estate jewelry along with new! Tell them Penny said they were great!

The guy that runs this shop was very friendly and well spoke. Top notch service. My fiance had her ring resized here and the cost was very reasonable. Turn around time was also much quicker than we expected.

Paul was great to work with. He was very professional through the entire process, and stayed in regular communication with me to ensure his work would be done exactly as I wanted. He always returned my calls and clearly, genuinely cared about ensuring I was totally satisfied. I am very pleased with how my jewelry came out, Paul is unquestionably very talented and knowledgable.
