I don't offer post reviews but we had just exceptional service today and especially from Emily. We had great advice and their customer service was superb. Based on our experience today I cannot recommend higly enough.

Susannah Lovis has the best selection of wonderful vintage jewellery in London. Susannah and her staff could not have been more helpful when I was choosing my engagement ring . I found my dream vintage ring which I am absolutely delighted with. I highly recommend them.

I have made two purchases within one month, and would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for unique vintage and new pieces.Their watch and jewellery collection is vast and impressive.I was specially struck by the outstanding service of Matthew who was extremely helpful and understanding.A place I will be visiting frequently.

It was an absolute pleasure purchasing an engagement ring at Susannah Lovis. Matthew made the experience stress free and was really helpful and knowledgeable in the initial selection process, and there was no pressure to purchase, just a really friendly atmosphere. The ring itself is beautiful but needed to be slightly resized; they did this in a few hours and dropped off at my fiancee's office, which was amazing service. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

This is the email I sent to the jewellers following their response below. As my name and theirs are attached to these comments I feel that it is necessary to clarify this situation. I have not heard back from Susannah Lovis, despite trying to contact them on a number of occasions over the past few weeks. I have removed the prices from the below email, but it is otherwise unedited. Due to a character limit, I have had to remove my original review in order to post this. "Hi there, I hope that you are well. I’m sorry for the delay in response to your voicemail regarding my review on Google, but I have been (and still am) out of the country and have just listened to my messages. Following this, I checked my original review and found a response from you. I called your shop earlier this week but no one was available to talk. As I have still not heard back, I hope you don't mind me emailing. If you aren't the right person to be contacting, I would appreciate it if you could pass my message on to the appropriate member of staff. It seems to me that your response was written by someone simply looking at the job sheet, for the quotation to turn the earring into a ring, without having spoken with the members of staff in store on that day. The response focuses on me trying to sell jewellery to you. This did not happen. In fact, I made it very clear from the minute I walked into the shop that I had no intention of selling a single piece of jewellery. Instead, I came into the shop for 2 purposes, to get a quote to turn the earring into a ring and to have a formal valuation done of anything that required naming on a home insurance policy. A male member of your team had a look at my Grandmother’s jewellery collection (including pieces of more and less value), he took interest in the sapphire necklace but told us that the sapphires looked 'too perfect' and didn't want to make assumptions without the valuer looking at them too. As the valuer was out for lunch (I do not know if this was the IRV registered jeweller that you mentioned or not), we waited for them to return. They looked at the piece and determined that it was a small sapphire surrounded by reflective glass, they told us that it was worth no more than £1,000 and therefore not worth proceeding with a formal valuation. The reason for our delay in leaving a review is that, although we were surprised by the opinion, we accepted your professional advice. It was not until we mentioned it to another jeweller in passing that they said it would be very unusual for reflective glass to be used with sapphires in this way. We took it to 2 further jewellers, both of whom independently deduced that the necklace is a vintage Tiffany piece and has now been formally valued by IRV registered members of the NAJ at over £---. The earring that you quoted to be turned into a ring was valued at over £---. My review was not intended to be malicious, nor do I think it comes across as that. In the same way, I appreciate that your staff were not intending to make mistakes that day and I did not suggest that they had incorrectly assessed the jewellery intentionally. However, given what I have said above, I would be surprised if you could not understand my hesitation to recommend your company if someone were to want their jewellery to be valued. I don't believe that I have done anything except state the facts of my experience with your store. I also made an effort to clarify that my comments related only to my experience with valuation, and that "I'm sure that this is a lovely jewellers if you just want to buy from them". Your tone in response is condescending and insinuates that I have lied about my experience with your company. As both mine and your names are attached to the review, I would appreciate it if you amended your response to accurately reflect my experience with you. Thanks and best wishes, Lauren Martin"
