First off I'd like to thank Kay Jewelers for ruining my engagement. I received my ring from my Fiance and I absolutely fell in love with it! We got engaged on the 28th and by the time we arrived back in Buffalo from Vegas on the 1st one of my stones in my channel band was already falling out. The sales associate felt bad for me and said show all of your friends and family and then bring it and we'll send it out. I was still upset but the icing on the cake is when, I went to my hometown jeweler and wanted him to inspect my engagement ring. My Fiance purchased, the ring and band together. When he worked the associate here she showed him the matching set and he ordered the set as a whole and what he received was not a matching band to my ring. My ring had mill-grain detailing on the channel set while the band did not have mill-grain, however in the store the lady showed him the band that matched with the mill-grain. My jeweler noticed this immediately, on top of it the ring was not even close to being worth what he paid for it, he paid $4,300 total and the ring due to poor diamond clarity, (4) center small princess cut diamonds to look like a giant center stone which decreases value in engagement rings, and poor setting of the diamonds in the channel band which were not set properly, or mounted properly in the band came back valued at $1,500! Besides ripping off consumers and selling poor quality diamonds, we made the decision to return my ring and purchase with my jeweler back home. To begin with channel settings for rings are absolutely the most secure settings for diamonds, and somehow within 5 days of receiving it my stone was half fallen out. Ladies and gents beware please go to reputable jeweler who will take the time to care for your diamonds and sell quality products and explain the ins and outs of diamond purchasing especially for such a memorable and sensitive life changing event. I waited 7 years for my engagement ring just to give it back within 14 days of receiving it, we returned it as I knew I would be spending more time having Kay's fix it than wearing it which was unfair to me. He thought he was receiving quality diamonds and product when he did not. Highly disappointed and I wish we took more action again Kay's rather than just returning my ring.

Went in thinking that I would not be able to get what I wanted. In the style that fit me but, I met Ali who works there and he recommended the options that would work for me. Even to the point of ordering a engagement ring for me and my fiancé in rose gold. When it was not traditionally offered in that gold. He was tremendously helpful in the entire process. I definitely recommend.

I've had my engagement ring for 6 months now. So far, two stones have fallen out and when I brought it in to get inspected, a stone was loose and they had to send it out. I brought the ring in on May 30, 2016. I was told by June 11, 2016 it would be ready. Today is June 14, 2016. I just called and was told an email was sent out on the 8th. I check my emails numerous times a day, never received the email. I even searched "kay" and absolutely nothing came up in my email (after being told my the salesman it could be in a "junk" folder). I asked why I wasn't called since I verified the email address they had on file, which was correct. That's when I was told the email is probably in a junk folder. CALL your customers when their jewelery comes in. Trust me, I don't want my engagement ring just sitting at Kay Jewelers just for the hell of it.

I bought an engagement ring here about 6 months ago. After 6 months I brought it in to get cleaned and to get the stone re set as it was wiggly. They took it in no problem and took down my contact information and said it would be done the following week and that they would contact me. 10 business days later I finally called and asked where it was, as it turns out, it had been sitting in their store and had came in a little less than a week after I dropped it off. They tried sending an email but it "didn't send" so they gave up. They would later double check my email and find they had the correct address and noted they also have had my phone number since I purchased the ring. I never received a call. When I finally did get the ring back I noticed it didn't quite look the same, the sales rep noticed they never put the plating back on after they worked on it, and had to send it back in, this time telling me it would take 2 weeks instead. Now my Fiancee won't get to wear it to her bachelorette party because it will have taken them a little over a month (assuming I actually get it back in time) to do what should've taken less than a quarter that time. The ring itself is lovely but the servicing on it is not. Update: Decided to give them another chance and go here to get the wedding bands. We had the rings/style of ring we wanted all picked out so it should have been as easy as going in and ordering or picking out the closest equivalent. My ring wasn't in store so I picked the one closest to the one we found online, we were told said ring would be 200, which mysteriously jumped to 300 at check out, not including the "70$" extended service plan (male wedding band service plans are only actually 30). My fiancee's pick for a wedding band was in stock so picking that out was easy enough, until we went to check out and they couldn't find the rings we had picked out in store in their system.... They spent about 15 minutes looking for the rings in the system and when they eventually found them the price was over 150$ more than what it was supposed to be before tax. They told us they could give us 100$ off and then spent another 15 minutes trying to figure out how to do that... After waiting around we said we could just go and order it online and pick it up in store, to which the employee replied, "Noooooo you caaaaan't!! Hehehe". Around this time she mentioned the rings would also take about 6 weeks to come in as well. Eventually we said we were done and would just get them online after be quoted almost 800$... Just got home, order the exact rings we wanted, total was less than 600$ (both extended service plans included), the rings will be in next week. This in store location is truly dreadful. Don't waste your time.
