I just got my ears pierced at Claire's yesterday. The service was great and hygienic. The problem is that the website showed it would be around $20 for the piercing/titanium jewelry I wanted, but I was charged a little over $30 for the piercing when I went to the counter, not including the small item I bought making it come out to almost $40. I was very excited to finally have my ears pierced because I waited so late in my life to do so, so it didn't dawn on me until I was halfway home that I seemed to have been over-charged. I checked my receipt and the bottle of cleaner and notice I had been given and charged for the 3-week rapid cleaner instead of the normal 6-week one. I was never asked which I wanted even though I'd researched before hand and noticed the rapid was extra. I have not and will not go back to try to get a refund, nor do I want to mention names because although this was a shady move, I figure maybe corporate put her up to it, they were out of the regular and it was not mentioned, etc. If they simply did not have the cheaper one available I should have been told about this still. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt though and on top of that she did the whole thing completely correctly besides this problem. I considered complaining to the business online, or maybe filing an anonymous complaint, but given that this was the only problem and it was just twelve dollars I do not want to cause a huge fuss although I did save for this because I do not have much money, so it is a bigger deal for me than it may be for others. I did want to post this review though (which I think is my first ever anywhere online?) to warn others to SPECIFY or they will sneakily give you the $12 extra 'rapid cleaner'. I am not very pleased about this because it feels completely dishonest, as the rapid cleanser is, again, an UPGRADE with an EXTRA CHARGE and should not have been the default. I wish I had paid more attention. Although it is partially my fault for not being more diligent, which I usually am but this time my excitement got the best of me, I will not being going back to this location again. I have not been there (the company, not necessarily this exact store) in a decade or so but I had been planning on going back multiple times to use the many great coupon they gave me for getting my ears pierced. After this discovery the coupon is just going in the trash. I was so pleased with my piercings that I was ready to become a regular customer, but this definitely changed my mind. And, again, if they had a good reason for doing this that's totally acceptable, but the communication was non-existent and that's not okay with me. I'm sure losing one customer won't hurt their business and I'm not suggesting a boycott, I'm just warning you all to be diligent when you go there.

Great place I love it cute stuff!! But one time when I was there I couldn’t purchase my items because the lady at the cash rap was on the phone the whole time with her boyfriend??!! So it was really frustrating but every time I’ve been there since I haven’t seen her. And they’ve been kind and the sweetest girls work there!!!

Sad sad day on my last visit. I was told this and that had to call 1 million stores to get a price check for me. No good 👎

Wonderful job piercing my 6 year old twins ears. They were able to do both ears at the same time an it was perfect. Highly recommend them!
