Helzberg Diamonds

This is a very long review, but I encourage you to read it all! If I could give them zero stars I would. I live in Idaho, but I was in California on a very special vacation that my family had planned just for me. My husband bought me a beautiful ring for my birthday, but it had to be ordered and then it would be shipped back to my house in Idaho. This was on February 5. They said I would have it by February 17. Fast forward to February 22 and I still do not have the ring. I was told on February 17 it arrived at the store and then would promptly be sent to me and I would have it in a couple of days. I called the store and inquired where my ring was. The guy puts me on hold for about 15 minutes searching the whole store for my ring. He comes back empty handed and then proceeds to tell me that they have one ring in the store and it is a size 8 1/2. That is my ring....he then proceeds to look closer at the ring and notice that it had my name on it with a note saying to send it to me, but no one did. He then sort of apologizes to me on the phone, but he did not seem like he cared much. Here it is February 26 and I still have no ring. They sent it by FedEx and it says it should arrive tomorrow, but guess what there is another catch! In order for me to get the package I have to present ID and sign for the package when it is delivered. My husband and I both work during the day and will not be home when it is delivered...I am so very unhappy with the service here. The man I spoke to on the phone was not very compassionate that they had misplaced a $350 ring we had purchased. I love Helzberg very much, but this store is horrible. I should have waited to purchase the ring from the wonderful Helzberg in Idaho. I am so close to just sending the ring back and asking for a full refund. Big waste of time and money for me. I also then went to the corporate customer service and asked for a small refund because of the issues and they told me that only the store itself could offer me a discount and they could do nothing. I am not calling the store again to get crappy customer service!!!

The Escondido Helzberg diamond has the absolute worst customer service. I purchased a beautiful ring set for my wife. The manager Charlie was more than helpful when I was spending all of my money on a purchase. Fast forward a year and a half my wife takes her rings in for service and we pay the expedited charge for same day service One of the ladies stated she had a loose stone and they serviced the ring. 15 days later my wife wakes up from her sleep to find her main diamond missing. I search high and low all over the house for it and it’s no where to be found with the search exhausted. I decided to purchase a new stone for my wife and have it placed my wife is very anxious being she is 8 months pregnant and wants her ring for maternity pictures. My wife spoke to Charlie after multiple failed attempts and Charlie states she would cover the overnight service fee and send the ring to us insured the next day all we needed to do was drop it off. We drop it off and Charlie is gone shopping I leave my name and number and ask for them to have Charlie call me when she gets back from shopping..... on the clock...must be nice. We leave the diamond with a woman who is extremely rude she has a strong foreign accent and a piss poor attitude 8 hours go by with no call so I call the store back unfortunately for me the foreign lady answers the phone and seems very annoyed sorry we want answers on some very expensive jewelry. I wait two days with no response like promised and no finished ring. I call today and what do you know foreign girl picks up and now says in a very rude fashion “I told you we will call when it’s done in 2-4 Weeks” I asked her to have Charlie call me at 11am this morning because that is not what she has promised me. Well it’s now 545 and the store closes in 15 minutes I called with no answer and have been left in the dark by terrible rude staff I am sure if I had another 10,000 dollars sitting in front of them for a ring they would be doing anything to make a sale like the did the first time... they promised great service well that stops the day after you buy your ring. I am extremely disappointed with Helzberg in the Escondido CA mall and I will be sure to never ever ever recommend them to anyone I care about. The staff needs a major training on customer service and the foreign gal needs to find some happiness in life and get a different job. Whatever you do do not use Helzberg!!!! It will be a nightmare.

I have two GORGEOUS rings from here. The issue I've had is that both have a lot of tiny diamonds. On one of my rings, a tiny diamond has fallen out twice and needed replacement. The good thing about my experience, is that when I took it in, luckily it fell out in the first 9 months of owning the ring, I didn't realize I had to bring the ring in every six months for it to be checked for the warranty to continue. If no, the warranty is gone. They still allowed me that one time to be a couple of months late and I got to keep my warranty and it was fixed for free. Second ring I have, ZERO issues and I get compliments every time I wear it. It's in the pic. Overall experience, pluses and minuses.

Julie really makes this place shine always taking care of us, and never in a bad mood. @michellenavarrete how dare you fat shame someone. Your post was very ignorant. Black diamonds are the cheapest diamond. Also I would never use credit, I don't need it. I believe it's their job to offer you credit the only people who get offended by this are the people who don't have credit. All and all this store is and will be my place to shop. Ruby and Kassie are great too.

I had a truly unforgettable experience at Helzberg today. All of the sales representatives were very cordial and welcoming. The young lady that assisted me gave me world-class customer service. I felt as though she really knew what she was talking about- she had great knowledge about all the products I looked at. I picked out some pretty gorgeous pieces and will truly treasure them. I will definitely recommend this location to all of my friends and family members :)
